Pete, I am up and running again!! The problem was that FSX enabled my controllers, while I have set up FSUIPC to use my controllers....... I still don't know how this happend but the problem is solved. Thanks for your support! :D :D Peter Aertssen Amsterdam

Hi Pete, I'm having a very strange problem. Up till now everything worked ok with no problems at all! All of a sudden, WideFS has stopped working... I start FSX in windowed mode. Then I schould see in the upper title bar Flightsimulator X WideFS waiting for connections. I don't get this message anymore. In FSUIPC.ini WideFS is enabled.. And I can't provide you a WideServer log simply because there is no one! I started FSX today at 12:15 local time and I do have WideServer logs from older dates and times but not from today at 12:15...... I'm running Win7 64 bit UAC and DEP turned off, in fact I didn't change anyting on my computer..... Please help, thanks in advance! Peter Aertssen Amsterdam

Hi, OK, I had some trouble with simconnect so I tried the solution in the post above to manually delete the C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect entries..... Doing a repair of FSX as suggested and reinstalling SP1 and SP2 did NOT reinstall the C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect entries again!! OK, so I decided to do a fresh clean install of FSX, SP1 and SP2 as well as the FSX SDK, SDK SP1A and SDK SP2. And again still no luck................. I'm running Vista 64 bit with UAC turned off. Anybody out there with a solution for me?? PeteEHAM

Hi, I use both REX and My Traffic X. REX can be run on a networked config via SimConnect. It doesn't support WideFS. (You can find this information also in the manual provided by REX and installed in the REX directory or at the REX forum) For My Traffic X: it has to be installed on the same computer as FSX so a networked setup is just inpossible. Hi, I'm still having trouble with my WideFS setup. 9 out of 10 times WideClient just keeps "waiting for a connection". Here is my setup: FSX computer (Vista 64 bit) running only FSX Client computer (Vista 32 bit) running WideClient and when connected RC4 and ASV6 I've tried several options: - Turning off the firewall of the FSX computer: no luck - Enable ports 8002 and 9002 on both computers: no luck - Putting ServerIPAddr and Protocol=TCP in the client ini file: no luck - Instead of ServerIPAddr ServerName in the client ini file: no luck Both computers have diffrent names, on both computers UAC is turned off. FSX folder is shared, network is working (I can acces my FSX folder on the client computer) as well as the flightplan folder. What am I missing here?? Thanks in advance. Peter Amsterdam

YES!!! Thanks Pete! Silly me.... I did put my target framerate to "unlimited" for a test and forgot to put it back to its original setting.... Hello, I don't know how but as of today I'm having problems with my WideFS configuration. This is what happens: 1) It makes no diffrence if I start FSX and then WideFS or the other way around. 2) On the 1st attempt there is no connection, WideFS is "waiting for connection". 3) So through FSUIPC on my FSX computer I disable WideFS which causes FSX to hang... 4) After starting up FSX again and enable WideFS again via FSUIPC on my FSX computer.......I have a connection! 5) So ASV6 refreshes the weather and AI traffic automaticly as soon as there is a connection. 6) When I start RC4 (after ASV6 is finished) my plane jumps (default and payware) and again FSX hangs... Before I had a good working connection and never have encountered these problems.... The only thing I did is installing scenery (cloud 9 Xclass and FEX) Help please? Thanks in advance, Peter Amsterdam
