  1. Hi Pete As you suspected, there was no FSUIPC4.log for me to find in the modules folder. So, acting on the advice in your various stickies on the forum, i did the following: 1. Deleted the original sim connect folder (but left intact the SPI version). 2. Ran the repair utility from the FSX disk. 3. Booted FSX - found add ons menu had returned. 4. Registered FSUIPC4 Log is as follows: ********* FSUIPC4, Version 4.103 by Pete Dowson ********* User Name="Simon Longstaff" User Addr="slongsta@bigpond.net.au" FSUIPC4 Key is provided WIDEFS7 not user registered, or expired Running inside FSX (SimConnect SP1 May07) Module base=61000000 DebugStatus=15 62 System time = 00:10:31 62 FLT UNC path = "C:\Documents and Settings\Simon8\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\" 62 FS UNC path = "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\" 1515 LogOptions=00000001 1515 SimConnect_Open succeeded: waiting to check version okay 4953 Running in "Microsoft Flight Simulator X", Version: 10.0.61355.0 (SimConnect: 10.0.61242.0) 91000 SimStart Event: Initialising SimConnect data requests 91000 FSUIPC Menu entry added 91140 C:\Documents and Settings\Simon8\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX\Previous flight.FLT 91140 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\Aircreation_582SL\Aircreation_582SL.AIR 91469 System time = 00:12:02, FSX time = 00:10:38 (07:10Z) 91640 Aircraft="Aircreation582SL red" 92156 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled 117000 System time = 00:12:28, FSX time = 00:10:50 (07:10Z) 117000 *** FSUIPC log file being closed Memory managed: 10 Allocs, 10 Freed ********* FSUIPC Log file closed *********** What I cannot tell is if the repair function unwound some of the improvements generated by SP1. Will find out in due course. I am not sure if my experience throws any more light on the issue. Please let me know if you want any further information. Regards Simon Longstaff (YSSY)

  4. Hello Pete I can report that I have encountered the same problem outlined at the start of this threadclean install of FSX, update to SP1, reinstall of FSUIPC (4.10) and no task bar heading for add ons. I note that you are interested in testing your theory as to what might be happening here. I am happy to provide the information you seek. So, please let me know what steps I should take - and the logs you would like posted. Regards Simon Longstaff (YSSY)
  5. Pete - used FSUIPC to make FS2CREW assignments and it worked like a charm. Thanks. Simon
  6. Thanks Pete FS2CREW did make it simple! Alas, I have to take responsibility for making things more complex. To explain I also use CH Products (yoke, pedals and TQ) - and have programmed some maps for various aircraft including the LevelD 767. Making changes directly to the FS assignment settings seems to undo various entries I have made (using the CH manager) to the FS9 devices.cfg file. Thus, the benefit of being able to make the FS2CREW assignments using FSUIPC. I think your advice will probably solve the problem - will let you know how I go. Regards Simon
  7. Hello Mr. Dowson, I recently installed FS2CREW for the LevelD 767. The main and secondary commands require joystick buttons to be assigned to the 'Increase Decision Height (Concorde)' and 'Marker Beacon Ident On/Off' controls within FS9. I have looked at the range of commands listed under FS CONTROLS in FSUIPC (Registered) - and cannot find the relevant entries so that I can make the assignment (Incr Dec Height is there but I can find nothing for the Marker Beacon Ident - unless given a different name). So, I am wondering if there is some way to resolve this issue? Thanks for any suggestions. Simon (YSSY)
