  1. Hi Peter Solved the problem by uninstalling MSE - I have other protections available - AVG etc. Sent a false positive message to MSE but no reply.
  2. Thanks for the info Pete. I can't find any way to report a false positive to MSE, but managed to instal 4.957 by turning off MSE and everything is fine. I just wonder if it uses pattern recognition to make the identification - I do notice that there are a few typos in the documentation with random full stops in the word chain for example. I'll keep trying to get in touch with MSE and report the false positive John
  3. Hi Peter Having probs with Microsoft Security Essentials. Just installed P3D v3, after running FSX for years, and downloaded the latest FSUIPC modules. As soon as I try to expand the zip, MSE deletes the files and posts "Trojan: Win32/Varpes.M!cl". As a result, my installation on P3D hasn't happened, and my FSX no longer has access to FSUIPC. Any suggestions gratefully received John
  4. That did the trick - thank you very much for the suggestion
  5. Sorry Pete - must be old age - version is 4.947c. Anyway, have no idea what is causing the error message, but I can live with a couple of clicks on the OK button John
  6. Hi Peter Just updated to FSUIPC 4.946, and have sent in purchase order - still waiting for registration code, but that's not the issue. After installing, and booting FSX, I get an error message: "Error loading GPS_Engine. The flight plan will not be used." Click OK and the same message reapppears. Click OK again and the flight loads with no problems. Any ideas what might cause this? Regards John
