  1. Hello, I often get the RUDDER NML MODE FAIL and SPOILER NML MODE FAIL error before or shortly after takeoff with the steam edition of the EMB 170 and 190, the manual says to push in the "flight controls mode rudder button" or the spoiler button, but in the steam edition of the aircraft these buttons cannot be interacted with. How do I resolve this issue? Thank you, Alex EDIT: After reinstalling the DLC 4 or 5 times, it now works. It seems the EJetH.dll was getting corrupted during install, but eventually it just didn't get corrupted. The buttons can now be interacted with in the 2D pedestal.
  2. Interesting problem, 3 questions. 1. Can you post the route? If there's no obvious issue I'll see if I can recreate it. 2. Do you have any mods which are meant to affect all aircraft? Like Accu-Feel or SimPhysics? 3. Have you modified the configuration file of the ERJ?
  3. This is the correct place to ask the question, as steam does not support products not created by Valve. Unfortunately, I have no true answer for this, only workarounds. Workaround 1: This is the free option, and it's a little odd. You can replace the "pack running" audio file with engine sounds, then only turn on the AC when your engines are running. As long as your cabin doesn't get hot, this doesn't really affect anything. Workaround 2: You can actually buy sounds, it's $14 and called "TSS - ERJ-1XX HD Sound Pack FSX". Somehow they add engine sounds, I'm not quite sure how they add sounds that were not there previously, but they do it (I think, I don't own this and promise nothing). I've done neither of these myself, as personally, I like being able to hear myself think while flying.
  4. Well, I doubt this is the problem, but if you follow the steps you say you're following then it definitely should not work. You say you hit "ALT SPD and HDG", but you should be hitting "ALT SPD and NAV". But I assume you're doing that right. If you press the DIR key and then press the LSK key next to any waypoint in your route, it will create a line running from your current position directly to that waypoint. Try to hit your NAV key quickly on your autopilot so that you have an easier time getting on the route. When you takeoff, it make sometimes seem like there's a discontinuity in the route because it uses the airport's official center as the first point in the route, which is often located in odd areas. Additionally, if you don't activate the NAV quickly enough after takeoff, you'll have flown so far off the line that it won't pick it up. Ideally you should be on an intercept for the flight path when activating NAV mode. Please let me know if this works. Alex

    V2 ERJ + EMB

The ERJs should work if you move them as you would any other, however, you'll notice that these addons require an extra step to get the TCAS and Wx Radar working. Some other mods will require you to do this same thing, but you only have to do this once (Unless you reinstall FSX:SE) You need to go to SteamApps\Common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\Legacy\Interfaces and install all 3 legacy things in those folders, everything should work fine then. It seems that fix might not work for the 175/195, but not 100% sure about that yet as I don't own those.
  6. I checked through the configuration utility, and FSX's keybinds, and I didn't find anything. However, after changing some unrelated keybinds, I noticed my thrust reverser key now works with the ERJ. no_cigar, if you're still looking for an answer, do you have any other mods at all other than aircraft/scenery? Have you run the legacy SimConnect fix for FSX:SE? I can't think of much that would be different between my FSX and yours otherwise.
  7. Navigate to your FSX folder, then FeelThere>SimObjects>Airplanes>FeelThere ERJ... and open the Aircraft.cfg folder. You should see something like: [fltsim.0] title=ERJ145XR - House sim=erj145frtxr model= panel= sound= texture= checklists= ui_manufacturer=Embraer - feelThere ui_type=ERJ-145XR v2 ui_variation=Embraer House ui_typerole="Regional Jet" ui_createdby="feelThere" atc_heavy=0 atc_id=PT-ZJD atc_airline= atc_flight_number=6201 description=Embraer ERJ-145XR v2\nAirframe: FeelThere \nFDE: FeelThere \nCopyright 2003-2015, All Rights Reserved. Verify that under [fltsim.1] the model parameter has model=ny.
  8. I know this answer is very late and may not help you, but I still want there to be answer because others might need it. There are three ways to enter a new point in to your flight plan, if the AIRAC database does not have it. 1. L/L, Latitude and Longitude: The hardest method, despite reading the manual I've not yet figured out how to do this. 2. P/B/D: Place, Bearing, and Distance: One of the two very easy ways of entering a new point, that works in just about every scenario. 3. P/B/P/B: A similar method that's also quite easy. I'll give an example of using method 2 on your waypoint GIANO. The first thing to do is to go to SkyVector.com and find the waypoint GIANO by entering it into the box. Next, find a nearby point that does exist in your database, most VORs should exist in your database as few new ones have been built since 2011 (Which is when the default AIRAC is dated.) The VOR TRAPANI (TRP) is nearby, so put that VOR before GIANO in the route box, the route box should show "TRP -> GIANO". Now if you look at the map, you'll see that GIANO is 58nm from TRP on its 355 radial. Attempt to add GIANO to the active flight plan, and you'll get a screen asking for GPS coordinates, or P/B/D or P/B/P/B. Enter "TRP/355/58", and your new waypoint should be there. I do not believe it will keep between sessions. Do remember, that it costs under $7 to update your AIRAC database, and that charge allows you to update all your mod's databases for one month! But if you don't want to spend that, PBD and PBPB are the easy and cheap ways to do it.
  9. Unfortunately, this isn't an answer, but I've noticed that repeated actions set in FSX don't seem to work at all with this aircraft, I have a button that I normally use to activate reverse thrust by holding it down but it doesn't work on this aircraft.
  10. I'd just like to mention that while FeelThere said the features don't work with the steam edition, that's not entirely true. You need to go to SteamApps\Common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\Legacy\Interfaces and install all 3 legacy things in those folders, it should work then. Also, when using the plane you may have to turn on the weather radar in 3D cockpit, otherwise it won't turn on. You'll know the WXR works because the MFD will show a multicolored test screen, and the TCAS only works in the air. The HUD should start working, too, if it didn't before. Great planes, it's annoying that FSX has slight differences from FSX:SE.
