  1. Hi, I have a fresh install of FSX-SE with the but am seeing a very weird FPS problem specific to the ERJ-145 v2 whilst moving on the ground. As soon as I get above 1KT the FPS drops dramatically (from 40-50 FPS to 20-30), but jumps back up again the moment I leave the ground. I've tried running with clear skies to avoid clouds sapping any FPS but the problem persists and it seems specific to the ERJ 145. I can't understand why it should just be happening on the ground, and why it is fine while the aircraft rolls gently at <1KT but kicks in at anything greater. Has anyone else experienced/reported this issue or any ideas why it might be happening? With clouds and payware scenery/airports I suspect the FPS drop will make the ERJ unusable. System specs: Intel Core i7-4790K @ 4.00GHz, 16GB RAM, nVidia GTX 960 (2GB), Windows 10 Home 64-bit. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide - I'm stumped! Alan.
  2. All, I am looking for a way to setup a friend as a Co-Pilot in my FSX-SE airplane. This means, two independent Computers with their own Controllers, able to fly one Airplane in a multi-player environment. As if I were instructing from the right seat, with the ability to grab the controls and prevent us from dying. Any idea if FSUIPC and/or it's other associated modules can accomplish this? Please Advise, Chuck Tinker PAY7212, PAY7599, PAY7788 Pacific Airways. LAX Hub
  3. During the install of My Traffic 6, for FSX-SE, for some reason it can't find the FSX.CFG file (After I have selected the FSX-SE path (Local)) My Traffic 6 doesn't seem to know where the FSX.CFG is stored for FSX-SE. Can someone respond with the "cookbook" instructions? Because it looks like I will have to finish this off manually. I assume I will have to add the appropriate tags / settings to the FSX.cfg and scenery.cfg fles. I had to reinstall because of a driver issue, and it didn't seem like I had this issue during the last install.
  4. I am at this point in the install: (FSX-SE) In order to do so, start Flight Simulator X and go to the 'Settings' tab and select 'Scenery library'. Like you do with many other add on sceneries. Then, select “add area” and the window will show all folders in the [Microsoft Flight Simulator X] main Folder. Browse to MyTraffic Professional folder that you created by installation above , so if you installed as example to C:\ browse into C:\MyTraffic Professional\. <Did this> Select MyTraffic and press OK. < It doesn't return back to the scenery dialog . It traverses to the C:\MyTraffic Professional\MyTraffic folder displaying Aircraft as the first folder. I can't get past this dialog. PLEASE ADVISE!!!! Any thoughts? BTW You need to tell the forum web master you need to be able to upload larger files (Ridiculous)!
  5. STB V3.2.1.15 for FSX and FSX Steam Edition Standalone Introduction This update is for SuperTrafficBoard (STB) V3.0, V3.1 or V3.2 and will upgrade your installation to the latest level (V3.2.1.15). It can be used with the following simulators: • Microsoft Flight Simulator (FSX); • Flight Simulator X Steam Edition Standalone. (“Standalone” means FSX Steam Edition is not installed on the same computer as Microsoft FSX). Note this update cannot be used for: • STB for Prepar3D; • STB V3.3 for Flight Simulator X Steam Edition; • Any other versions of STB for FSX; • Systems where both FSX and FSX Steam Edition are installed on the same computer. This is called a “side by side” configuration, and requires a special edition of SuperTrafficBoard. Please contact us for further information. Changes Version 3.2.1.15 includes all previous updates, and also addresses the following areas: • Use a better technique for obtaining the path to the application data folder; • Improve the information provided to the user during the simulator connection experience; • Catch exceptions generated by SimConnect during Simulator shutdown that would otherwise crash the client; • General support for MyTraffic 6, including airline and logo updates; • The user aircraft, when listed on the board, is now subject to the same "Delayed Flight" criteria as AI aircraft (for board informational purposes) • Changes to the UT2 interpretation engine to address the issue of UT2 traffic getting stuck on a cancelled/deleted/re-spawn loop. • STB Simulator Plugin rebuilt to use SimConnect SP2/Acceleration Pack; • Notify user when FSX Steam Edition side by side is detected; • Improve user guide descriptions of: o Setting up STB on a separate computer to FSX; o Locating STB folders; o Enabling a support trace; • Upgrade SQLite to R102; • Upgrade MakeRwys to 4.6.9.2; Procedure Download from here: http://bit.ly/2bOAADF To install the update, simply extract it from the zip file and run it, following instructions presented to you on-screen. The update will verify your current installation is suitable to be upgraded. The update will recognise most previous STB for FSX V3 installations and updates, but may fail to recognise a hotfix that is installed through direct DLL replacement. If the updater advises you it cannot be applied, please contact us for further assistance using the details below. Note the updates may take some time to complete, however a progress bar will keep you informed of progress. SuperTrafficBoard Data Server If you use STB on a separate computer to FSX, you require the SuperTrafficBoard Data Server (STB-DS) application on your FSX computer. A new version of STB-DS is required to operate with STB V3.2.1.15, STB-DS V3.2.1.15. Download from here: http://www.supertrafficboard.com/downloads/stbds_fsx_fsx-se-sa_v32.zip Please uninstall your current STB-DS before proceeding to install the new version. 6. I made the mistake of installing a FSUPIC derivative mod (MaldAir VA) onto FSX, when I had FSX-SE also installed. Un-installed all, reinstalled, edited registry keys as per this Steam forum post, downloaded fresh MaldAir Installer, installed, tried to run any applications results in the following error: "Component 'MSINET.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid" Attempted to extract msinet.ocx from the downloaded files, to windows/system32 and no success. Unsure how to resolve.

  8. Hi, FSX-SE (Steam Edition) is on sale for 7.49 Euro (instead of 24.99 Euro). Just saw it, maybe some are interested
  9. There are five simulators that STB can support: FSX (original Microsoft product, now most commonly seen as FSX Gold); FSX Steam Edition; Prepar3D V2; Prepar3D V3; Prepar3D V4; There are various editions of STB available, depending on the Simulator or combinations of Simulators you have installed. Each STB edition can be installed and used on the same computer as any of the other editions listed below, depending on your simulator needs. Any questions, just ask! Prepare3D V2 STB V3.3 for Prepar3D V2. Latest version is V3.3.2.11. This product is not compatible with FSX, FSX-SE or Prepar3D V3. This is a separate product compared to STB for FSX and needs to be purchased. However most shops offer a discount to existing STB for FSX customers. For those that don't, contact me first and I'll try to help. Owners of STB V3.3 for Prepar3D V2 are entitled to use STB V3.4 for STB Prepar3D V3 free of charge (see below). Prepare3D V3 STB V3.4 for Prepar3D V3. Latest version is V3.4.0.29. This product is not compatible with FSX, FSX-SE or Prepar3D V2. Owners of STB V3.3 for Prepar3D V2 are entitled to use STB V3.4 for STB Prepar3D V3 free of charge. Please visit the shop where you purchased STB to download the additional product. This is a separate product compared to STB for FSX editions and needs to be purchased. However most shops offer a discount to existing STB for FSX customers. For those that don't, contact me first and I'll try to help. As both Prepar3D V2 and Prepar3D V3 can be installed at the same time, STB V3.3 for Prepar3D V2 and STB V3.4 for Prepar3D V3 can also. Prepare3D V4 STB V4 for Prepar3D V4. Latest version is V4.0.2017.21200. This product is not compatible with FSX, FSX-SE, Prepar3D V2 or Prepar3D V3. For those that don't, contact me first and I'll try to help. As Prepar3D V2, V4 and V4 can all be installed at the same time, so can STB V3.3 for Prepar3D V2, STB V3.4 for Prepar3D V3 and STB V4 for Prepar3D V4. FSX (Original Microsoft) STB V3 for FSX. Latest version is 3.2.0.1.15 This product is not compatible with Prepar3D, see below for options. FSX Steam Edition (Stand alone, without original Microsoft FSX) STB V3 for FSX. Latest version is 3.2.1.15. This product is not compatible with Prepar3D, see below for options. For this to work, you must not have original Microsoft FSX on the same computer as FSX-SE. In this configuration, FSX-SE looks exactly like FSX to STB. You do not require the "special" STB for FSX-SE described below and while it may work there is no benefit in using it. Due to the way the STB Simulator plugin was compiled, you will need to install the FSX SP1 Simconnect client in to FSX-SE. You can find the installer in your steam library, for example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LegacyInterfaces\FSX-SP1\SimConnect.msi FSX Steam Edition ("Dual Simulator", on the same computer as original Microsoft FSX) STB V3 for FSX. Latest version is 3.2.1.15. Use this to connect to Microsoft FSX. STB V3 for FSX-SE (DualSim). Latest version is 3.3.2.15. Use this to connect to FSX Steam Edition. These product is not compatible with Prepar3D, see below for options. Just as you can install and run FSX and FSX-SE on the same computer, you can do the same with STB for FSX and STB for FSX-SE. STB for FSX-SE (DualSim) is not available in the shops, but can be requested from me free of charge to existing STB for FSX customers. Simon
  10. Noob questions....

Hello, Please forgive me if this has already been published. I tried to do an exhaustive search on the topics, but couldn't find the answers I am looking for. I have also read the latest documentation. I have MyTraffic 6 coupled with a stand alone flight simulator FSX-SE. In addition, this is my first experience using a traffic add-on. I have some traffic, when flying and sometimes I have static traffic at my home airport (KCEU - which is a very small rural county airport) and I assume the environment is working correctly, but I do have some nagging questions on how to use MyTraffic 6. My questions are as follows: 1- I do not subscribe to any of the payware services (MyTraffic Live or UT2) to download their updated schedules; therefore, I assume that I should then use the Spring 2015, Autumn 2012 or one of the historic static schedules to populate my air traffic within FSX-SE. Is this correct and are there any other options for "free" traffic offered that I did not mention? If no, can you please explain what is incorrect? 2- Assuming I am accurate on nbr 1 above, once the download is done, do I have to re-download each time I start FSX-SE? My thinking here is once the traffic files are created, there is no need to download again unless I want one of the other schedules, correct? 3- Assuming I am accurate on nbr 1 above, do I have to open MyTraffic 6 every time I start FSX...unless I want to add static aircraft through MyTraffic Interactive or download a different schedule? My presumptive answer to this question is no, but so many add-ons require starting in order to inject their particular objects, etc. into the simulator. Again, please forgive me if these questions have already been answered in a previous post or if I somehow overlooked these subjects in the documentation. Thanks, for your help!
  11. Hello, I bought the registered version and it registers fine at the provided dialog window. In fact, seems to even run fine... but then there is this repeating beeping, like a nag, every couple secs, and I get a dialog that pops up and says the license is invalid. I think it's either FSUIPC, a Flight-Sim conversion to FSX-SE glitch, perhaps steam - but I'd suspect this is one area they would have handled decently; perhaps a pay plane but this just happens with any heli, stock or otherwise...but I am speculating surely. So I have no idea what is going on - but your program might be it - might not - you'd know best :) I have no idea if this is your program or not. I am not running to much. FSX, FSUIPC, HTR and the Oculus Rift DK2 (Virtual Reality) utility so I can fly in true 3d... which is free and doesn't require a license. Thank You. Jegas
  12. Hi! it looks as if STB-Server doesn't work with the FSX-SE Update released today (using a new simconnect Version) any patch in sight? Happy Landings Juergen

  14. Hi everyone, I have been attempting to install FSUIPC into FSX-SE for more than two hours now and I just can't get it working. Basically, the following error message appears every time I attempt to start the sim: When "yes" is selected the sim crashes almost instantly. What I have checked so far: - FSXSE and P3DV2 are installed, but not the boxed version of FSX. - the registry has the following entries for FSX: (AppPath is correct) - The FSUIPC.dll is installed correctly into the FSX/modules folder. - The DLL.XML in AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX-SE has the correct entry for FSUIPC: I have a registered/paid version of FSUIPC if that makes a difference. Here is the installer log file for FSUIPC (username edited out): And this is the FSUIPC4.fsx.log: What I have tried so far: - deleted all FSUIPC files in FSX/modules - deleted the entire FSX and FSX-SE folders in AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/ - ran FSX-SE to re-create the FSX-SE folder - installed FSUIPC (antivirus off, ran the installer "as admin") - started FSX-SE again which, unfortunately, does not work either. I simply don't understand why it doesn't work as everything seems to be installed correctly. If anyone has an idea what could be wrong here, please let me know... any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Steve
