I can never get my beacon light to show up until AFTER the engines are started with the generator running... why is this? I mean, it's an anti-collision light and should be on before the startup yes?
Anyhow... just curious why I can't get ground power to even get it up.

Well, the bcn connected to generators. You can connect it to main bus by setting it in aircraft.cfg. In Electrical section at light_beacon line set the first number from 4 to 0 (zero). The grund feed power not featured (yet).

ah ok, not featured yet, no hint of that in the manual, but that's cool.
As far as the electrical bus situtation w/ the beacon light... which bus is it on the real aircraft? I mean, surely before they start the engines (thus no gens running) they have the anti-collision light on, right? Correct me if I'm mistaken though, heh :)

Yes, you're right. The real 17 has the bcn on 28V bus, it's my fault. Here in Hun Army (Szolnok helo reg.) they usualy starts from ground feed, but i taugth it's not nessery in FS. But i make it work if you think, it's simple. :)

true, but even if that were the case, the ground feed isn't modelled yet ;) heh
