Something I have installed has clobbered the preview aircraft pictures...I remember seeing something about this years ago. Does anyone know what file or files are missing, to cause this?

Did you just update video drivers by any chance?

nVidia cards do this when the AA is above 4x. If its not that I dunno

They do this with a bad driver. I had this exact problem a month ago and it was just after updating my drivers just as Overshoe indicated. I went back to my old one and the problem vanished. I happily run at 8x AA now.

Well, I'm pretty sure you have put your fingers on it chaps...Thank you very much. I'm sure that you are right because I have just put my AA up above 4 and I did it at the same time that I installed a couple of things, so naturally I suspected them...I'll pop it back down again and check :)

So, did you just drop your AA back down to 4X? For what it's worth I run Forceware drivers version 71.89 and am able to run 8X with no problems.

Interesting, I use 8xS anti-aliasing on my 6800 Ultra GS using the 71.84 driver with no problems.

I run 77.72 with a 5900 Ultra...Yes I just dropped it back to 4X. I can run 8+S just fine except for the loss of those previews...nothing else is affected and I like these drivers so I'm happy now :)
