Note that mostly this Announcement will contain only the changed modules. You will almost always need the main release installed first. For those please go to http://www.schiratti.com/dowson

The FS modules here, when supplied without Installer, need copying into the FS modules folder once extracted.

Please note the format here. The links for all the updates are listed first. For interim releases only, notes about changes are listed separately, below.

Install complete FSUIPC version 3.999z8 Install FSUIPC 3.999z8 for FS9 and before

-- For changes see the History document in the full install update.

FSUIPC version 3.999z9a only, for those with 3.999z1 or later already installed FSUIPC 3.999z9a

-- Fixes an ancient and obscure bug which nevertheless can crash FS on loading with certain INI file arrangements.

Install complete FSUIPC version 4.944 Install_FSUIPC4.944 for FSX, FSX-SE and Prepar3D versions 1.4 and 2.0-2.5

-- See included document for list of changes

WideFS version 6.999m WideFS 6.999m
Full release including documentation.
-- signature removed

-- See WideClient changes below.

WideClient 6.999x WideClient 6.999x

-- 6.999x adds "ReconnectMinutes", a facility to automatically reconnect periodically.

PFC driver version 2.41 for FS9 and earlier PFC 2.41
PFCFSX driver version 4.41 for FSX, ESP and P3D PFCFSX 4.41
-- signatures removed

PFC HID device driver version 1.41 for FS9, FSX, ESP and P3D PFCHID 1.41
-- signature removed
-- 1.33 fix for AP APR mode not setting Glideslope option

-- 1.34 fix for macro name matching and proper macro file selection on aircraft change

-- 1.35 fix for a silly bug introduced in 1.34 which could significantly slow FS down!

-- 1.36 eliminates a 1-2 second pause when AutoSave options are in use

-- 1.37 added support for separate macros for positions on multiway switches

-- 1.38 and 1.39 only added clearer logging, especially for macro file selection

-- 1.41 fixes some further macro selection problems

Only one report.
My computer is not unique to FSX, I use Norton Internet Security, a few years ago.
For the first time, NIS blocked installer FSUIPC (4939g), interfered in its execution, leading to quarantine.
I removed quarantine, and installed, works normal in FSX_SE 2608, I use only 1 simulator.

It's a false positive. Report it to Norton. There's no identifiable code in the binary in any case, it is completely compressed and scrambled. There's no way it can ever identify true viruses in such a mess, it is merely a coincidence of bit patterns.

If you were worried you'd need to find a checker which could check the uncompressed, unscrambled binary when it is loaded into FS's memory. I don't know of any which can do that.

Pete,
Just FYI, I think your pinned and locked post on the main page titled as below has a typo -- 4.938g should be 4.939g.

Best,

Al

Post Title: Use FSUIPC version 4.938g for all new versions of FSX-SE up to 62611 and Prepar3D to 12944

Hi Pete,

LINDA 263 has problems with 4.939m, especially NGX737 Modul 3.3, no knobs of the VRInsight MCP are working.

Also with LINDA 1.3

Hi Pete,

Also with LINDA 1.3

There's a thread in the proper Support Forum about this. I need help from someone who can tell me exactly what is happening in Linda. There''s been no change deliberately made which would do any harm at all. Please contribute details to the thread, not here

REMOVED: UNNECESSARY COMPLETE COPY OF "Updated Modules" announcement!

Hi. I have an FSUIPC bought in 2009. Do I have to buy a new one for FSX SE or can I register with my earlier register number? Cheers,

Fredrik f

Please, in future, post support questions in the Support Forum, not here in the subforums. You'll get better service.

If the FSUIPC you bought in 2009 was FSUIPC4 then

1. You are expected to keep it up to date if you want support.

2. If it is up to date it will, as it says, work with FSX, FSX-SE and P3D (1.4 or any version 2)

3. You only ever have to buy a specific version (3 or 4) once.
