Jetlantic Virtual Airways tem o prazer de anunciar a conquista da certificação oficial nas redes IVAO e VATSIM, detendo a partir de agora com exclusividade o callsign "jetlantic", bem como os prefixos JVA e J6. Aos responsáveis por ambas as redes, um grande agradecimento pelo acolhimento que desde o princípio demonstraram, extensível a todos os pilotos que contribuiram para que estas metas fossem alcançadas - bem hajam.

O título desta thread tem também o objectivo de poderem ficar aqui contidas futuras novidades da JVA, evitando uma proliferação de tópicos e contribuindo para um fórum mais limpo e organizado, espero que não haja objecção por parte da moderação.

A Jetlantic acaba de receber o seu terceiro A320, CS-TYG. À semelhança do que foi feito anteriormente com o B738 CS-TWA, este avião recebeu também uma textura retrojet. O CS-TYG foi baptizado "Max Römer" em honra do pintor alemão que dedicou grande parte da sua vida e obra à ilha da Madeira.



O aumento de capacidade da frota veio permitir uma expansão significativa da rede Jetlantic. A partir de Lisboa passa a existir mais um vôo diário para o Funchal, bem como ligações directas para Terceira, Santa Maria e Pico. Como bónus saliente-se também a expansão da rede charter, com vôos para Paphos (Chipre) e Kiruna (Suécia). Com esta expansão, a rede Jetlantic atinge a marca histórica de 200 destinos servidos.

A Jetlantic acaba de levar a cabo uma importante actualização da sua frota, com a chegada dos seus dois primeiros regional jets da Embraer. Os aviões recebidos são um E-175 (CS-TUK "Tristão Vaz Teixeira" e um E-195 (CS-TUL "Gonçalves Zarco") e ficarão baseados respectivamente em Vágar e no Porto.



Estes dois aviões substituem dois A318 (CS-TUG e CS-TUF), agora vendidos a um operador do Médio Oriente, e permitirão uma maior adequação operacional aos aeroportos de dimensões mais reduzidas da rede Jetlantic, tais como EGLC ou EKVG.

A Jetlantic acaba de receber um aparelho Boeing 737-400 Combi aircraft. O Combi é uma conversão do modelo -400 cuja parte dianteira da cabine foi transformada em porão de carga com capacidade para quatro posições de ULDs, enquanto a parte traseira se mantém como uma cabine de passageiros com 72 lugares. A Jetlantic torna-se assim na segunda companhia no mundo a utilizar esta variante do 737, após a Alaska Airlines.



A chegada deste aparelho (CS-TUM "Francelho") irá permitir uma expansão com novas rotas de Lisboa para Faro (diária), Shannon, Rabat, Tunis, Argel, Marselha, Tallinn, Las Palmas e Jersey, bem como uma frequência semanal entre Roterdão e Jersey.

Azores expansion

Jetlantic has just completed a major route and fleet expansion focused on its Ponta Delgada hub. Two new Airbus aircraft have been based here, an A330-200 (CS-TZM "Ponta do Sol") and an A319 (CS-TYH "Madalena do Mar"). The arrival of the 330 is an important milestone, as it will enable a major expansion on the Canadian market, with direct flights from Ponta Delgada to Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Azorean holidaymakers are also benefitted by this expansion, with direct flights now taking place every week to Miami, St. Maarten, Fortaleza, Recife, Bermuda and Tenerife.

Other destinations served from Ponta Delgada now include Moscow, Helsinki, Dublin, Barcelona, Cabo Verde, São Tomé, Jersey, Vágar, Nantes, as well as a weekly flight between Horta and Southampton.

Jetlantic Virtual Airways is proud to present today one of the most significant expansions in its history with the opening of a new hub in Gran Canaria airport, in the Canary archipelago. This expansion was achieved through a significant financial and operational effort by the airline, which has acquired six new aircraft to be based in Las Palmas.


B757-300 CS-TXD "Madre d'Água"

The new aircraft are three Airbus A320 (CS-TYJ / -TYK / TYL), two ATR 72 (CS-TVS / -TVT) and one Boeing 757-300, a first in Jetlantic's fleet. The Airbuses will handle the major domestic routes within Spanish territory, connecting Las Palmas, Tenerife, La Palma and Lanzarote to cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Bilbao and A Coruña, while the two ATR will take over Jetlantic's new regional network within the archipelago.

The Boeing 757-300 will operate international flights out of Las Palmas and Tenerife, serving a wide holiday market with flights to London-Gatwick, Manchester, Frankfurt, Munich, Dublin, Moscow, Kyiv, Rome and Zurich.

Jetlantic Virtual Airways has today reached another important international expansion with the opening of a new base in Nantes, its first in French territory. The Nantes hub will be primarily dedicated to holiday routes, to serve not only the region of Brittany but the entire western region of France. With the beginning of the new operation, French holidaymakers have the following destinations available: Innsbruck, Ibiza, Palma, Lanzarote, Venice, Heraklion, Thessaloniki, Skiathos, Antalya, Monastir, Faro, Pico, Bastia, Dubrovnik, Lampedusa and Santiago (Cabo Verde).

Nantes will initially be served by a new Airbus A320, the first of the -232 variant to be operated by Jetlantic. This variant has the highest maximum take-off weight of the type (78 tonnes), which coupled with the additional center fuel tanks installed (standard on Jetlantic's Airbus), gives it remarkable operational margins.



By agreement with the Nantes Chamber of Commerce and Industry, all of Jetlantic's aicraft based in Nantes will carry French registrations. F-HJVA is therefore Jetlantic's first aircraft with a non-Portuguese registration, and has been baptized "Brocéliande", in honor of the legendary forest of Brittany present in medieval literature.

Jetlantic has just added an important area of business to its activity with the opening of its executive aviation branch. This takes place with the opening of a new base in the famous Cannes-Mandelieu airport. Located in the heart of the famous Cote d'Azur region, a hotspot for business aviation, Cannes is also strategically located at less than two hours' flight from every major European capital.

Jetlantic's executive fleet will launch with two aircraft: a Cessna Citation X (CS-DJV) and an Airbus A319CJ (CS-DJX), the corporate version of the famous A319.
