Hi Good People,

Long time since I had a thread here - been a very busy year for me - which is good

I thought I would bring to your notice a project that I have been working on for almost a year and there is still stuff to do in the project.  However, the majority of the project is now available for FREE download.

Default Ford Tri-Motor repaints by the hundeds.

Initially this project was being hosted on my http://www.gjsmith.net site however it has become so big that we have created a unique domain just to accommodate the vaste volume of liveries available.

Over 360 FREE liveries for the Ford Tri-Motor are now available over at:

http://www.ford-tri-motor.net - couple of slideshows are available on the site for you to have a look at what is available.

This has got to be some sort of record for number of repaints for a single Default Model aircraft and possible the greatest number of liveries done by one person for any particular aircraft.

The Free liveries cover a very broad spectrum of Fact, Fiction and Fun textures- something that is bound to have something to appeal to just about anyone who would like to add some new life to the Ford Tri-Motor.

Feel Free to pop on over to the new Ford Site and  have some fun.

Happy Simming to all and I hope you all have a great Christmas and safe New Year.

Hi Garry,

This is IMPRESSIVE work! And just look at that website :). I enjoy flying the trimotor, and I already have my eye on the Pan Am old style livery. Many thanks, this is clearly a labour of love...

This deserves to appear in the front page of simflight.com!

Agreed and it shortly will be... I saw it advertised by Francois on his Facebook feed.

An e-mail to announce this would have been nice, Garry - you're not normally this shy!

Hi Ian P,

Agreed mate - normally I try to give me big projects a bit of a shove - but going flat out bedding down the new web site and Edward keeps adding more to the Project so if you can assist with a bit of a note from SimFlight.com it would help greatly.   Feel free to plagerise the notice from Francois FSAddon web site (I wrote it  )  And also feel free to grab any of the artwork on the site for a notice.

This is an absolutely massive project for the repaint of one single aircraft 364 full liveries - 134 AI specific liveries - now 150 aditional AI Liveries in the mill.  Some of the hardest repaint work I have done with the extreme limitations of the Default Microsoft Ford Tri-Motor texture mapping limitations.  But the end results, even if I say so myself, is some outstanding eye candy and some great effort to create meaningful historical liveries.

There is plenty of advertising (no obligations or financial gain expected) space on the new Ford site and if Simflight.com can help me out with some "advertising" the new http://www.ford-tri-motor.net site then I will create a suitable button and place on each page for Simflight.com - fare deal ?

Regards and happy simming and of course the best for the festive season.

I've just posted a short news article, Garry. Let us know when the page gets updated if you add anything and I'll post a follow up.

Thanks mate,  Good burst - appreciated.

Will knock up a suitable sepia advert/button for simflight.com  and add it to each page on the Ford site.
