I've been getting quite a bit of api.dll errors since installing 5.4. Are these possibly coming from the Edit Voice Pack that is now being used?

Yep. I had to roll back to V5.3b.

I got my first ever crash in API.DLL last weekend. It only occurred after we'd left FSX paused mid-flight for over an hour when my wife called us down for dinner. I've no idea why it would not like being paused for a long time, but it would seem to me to be more likely down to one of the unpausing processes going on -- EZCA, perhaps. I wouldn't have thought MTX could be involved in my case.

I havent had any issues after pausing. Sometimes it can be as long as 5 to 6 hours. I've been pulling my hair out over this for the last month or so. Besides testing AS2012 Ive tried to backtrack any last changes. memory settings in the BIOS, scenery files, userva settings blah blah blah. Finally I decided to try 5.3b again as I had no problems with it on the old and then new box in the beginning. I was getting the black screen issue where the sim would still run and take inputs from the keyboard. (Great with the autosave feature
) so I was able to salvage all the flights. Anyway the issues seem to be solved as of now except for a couple that appear from the temptation of occasionally pushing the settings over the edge on a new machine.

Strange though 5.3 uses the EVP also. Maybe when Im not so burnt out on this I reinstall 5.4 again and see what happens. I guess i can run them side by side by just changing the directory names and reupdating the scenery library.

There is no change to the evp in 5.4, exactly the same as in 5.3...
