Camera View Offset

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to switch views with pyuipc at offset 8320.  i can read the value and it changes accordingly when i change views in fsx.

When i write to the offset it writes correctly (i checked using the logging feature) but does not change the view.

The notes for the offset says its for fs 2004. Is there a different offset to use for fax?

I was also thinking this might be on the unregistered list

Thanks for any feed back.

As the Offsets Status documentation tells you, it is not effective for writing. You have to use the regular FS controls.

The notes for the offset says its for fs 2004.

Seems you are not referring to FSX documents? The FSUIPC4 offsets status document is the reference for FSUIPC4.

I also can't find the change document you referred to in another topic.

Changes from what version to what version? The changes documents normally accompany the interim update in the downloaded ZIP. For main releases there can sometimes be a Changes document accompanying the full Installer in the downloaded ZIP, but that's only true if the History documentation is not fully up to date. The History document embodies all the changes and along with the rest of the FSUIPC documentation, including of course the offsets list, is installed in your FSUIPC Documents folder (as stated in the Installing and Registering document).

Thanks Pete I understand what's going on with that offset.

I would have responded sooner but sometimes life gets in the way

I see that the offset is not valid in fsx now.  If I understand your response I need to send keystrokes some kind button pressed signal to the window or fsx directly?

Thanks again for supporting your product.

Keystrokes sent to FS are converted to FS controls according to key assignments, so it is more efficient to assign your buttons direct to the controls you want. There's a full list supplied in your FSUIPC Documents folder.

Thanks pete.

I'll check that in the FSUIPC Documents and see if I can make sense of it. I seem to be good at confusing myself :)

The list of controls should be in the FSUIPC Documents subfolder, in Modules, but if not check the Modules folder itself too.
