I have recently installed FSUIPC as i am required to have it for my Virtual Airline. It has said the installation was successful. I will post whati think is required anything else just ask, please be specific!

Nothing appears wrong for the files you pasted. In the Modules folder is there an FSUIPC4.LOG file produced? If so please show it to me.

It might be worthwhile getting a SimConnect log. Instructions for that are given in a thread in the FAQ subforum.

To eliminate interaction with other add-ons you could try temporarily renaming the DLL.XML file, re-running FSUIPC's installer so a DLL.XML is produced which only loads FSUIPC, and seeing if that works.

I notice FSCopilot is being loaded after FSUIPC. I seem to remember a problem with that, or at least with one specific version of FSCopilot, so another thing to try is with just that entry removed or disabled in the DLL.XML, or, again, with it preceding the FSUIPC4 entry. The FSUIPC installer normally puts its entry right at the end, so FSCopilot was probably added afterwards?

Ok so now i have deleted all the files and started from the beginning. I now have the 4.92 version but no log has been installed. I tried letting it create a new dll file, that failed as well. Now I have no log file and the problem remains. I also haven't been asked to allow the program to run in FSX and boots as normal but is listed as "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\FSUIPC4.dll.izrzunzcauktqouauwlobkrwhiatitwouaetnobw=-1" in the trusted section. Any recommendations?

Ok so now i have deleted all the files and started from the beginning.

That is generally not a good idea at all. What are all these files you deleted? All I suggested was re-running the FSUIPC Installer. Why not just do that?

I now have the 4.92 version but no log has been installed.

Why 4.92? That is not supported. You have the 4.929 installer. Why not use it? And log files are not installed, they are generated when the program runs. A log is a record of what it does. Where are you determining you have 4.92 installed?

I tried letting it create a new dll file, that failed as well.

What is it you tried to let create a DLL file?  You seem very very confused., FSUIPC IS a DLL file, and it is installed by running the Installer. When you run the installer it installs the DLL AND creates a LOG file. Show me that log please.

Why are you even looking in the FSX.CFG file. It really have no relevance at all.

I really cannot picture what you are doing here. Please please look in the ZIP file you downloaded for FSUIPC. Inside you will find a PDF document about Installing and Registering FSUIPC as well as the Installer program. Read the document then run the Installer. Show me the Install log. Then run FSX and tell me what files you see in the FSX Modules folder.

FSUIPC Documents
-FSWidgets
-FSUIPC4 Install
-FSUIPC4
-FSUIPC4_loader
-GPS Module
-List of FSX controls

Is that AFTER you've run FSX since installing FSUIPC4, or before?

Unfortunately you have omitted the filetype part of each filename. Here is what I ASSUME those files are:

FSUIPC Documents = subfolder containing the FSUIPC documentation and plug-ins
FSWidgets  = no idea, not related to FSUIPC
FSUIPC4 Install.log I assume, the log you showed above
FSUIPC4.DLL = the FSUIPC4 program
FSUIPC4_loader = Optional loader, not normally needed ***
GPS Module = no idea, no related to FSUIPC
List of FSX controls.pdf = Document providing assignable controls list

*** Why did you install the Loader? It is optional and generally not advised. I assume you read the Installation note about this?

If you have run FSX before this list then FSUIPC4 is definitely not being loaded. If you had not run FSUIPC4, then please do so and see if there is now two extra files:

FSUIPC4.LOG and

FSUIPC4.INI

We'll then have to decide what to do after that is clarified!

Yes I had run FSX before that post and no additional files have been added since.

I added the additional loader file as it was clear that FSUIPC was not working so tried that, and that list the file names and the purpose is correct.

So from what you have said I understand that FSUIPC is not starting normally within FSX ?

Many thanks,

George

It isn't being loaded for some reason. I think the next step is to see if it's down to one of the other things being loaded. The easiest way to do this is as follows (I think I suggested this before, actually, but here goes:

1. First remove the FSUIPC4 Loader from the Modules folder, as I think this might give misleading results.

2. Rename the DLL.XML so you don't lose its contents.

3. Re-run the FSUIPC4 Installer yet again.

4. Run FSX and see if the FSUIPC4.LOG and INI files are there then.

Ok have done as you have said, still no change.

Oh dear. It's going to get difficult. Can you check the FAQ subforum. read some of the threads which look likely. Some of these are contributions by others. Ang get a SimConnect log -- there's a FAQ on that too.

Solution was on this forum:

"FSX automatically mistrusts modules"

This has also caused problems with add-on a/c that require the config to start and now has solved the problem for that too!

Sorry for wasting your time and thanks for the assistance, I am now a very happy person

Yours sincerely,

George !

Solution was on this forum:

"FSX automatically mistrusts modules"

This has also caused problems with add-on a/c that require the config to start and now has solved the problem for that too!

Sorry for wasting your time and thanks for the assistance, I am now a very happy person

I am very pleased it is resolved.

Pete
