From Windows XP to Windows 7 and FS9 to FSX at Same Time

Recommended Posts

Hi Pete, after many, many long years with FS9 running on Windows XP with FSUIPC and WideFS, it has been necessary, professionally, to leave XP behind :( !

Having had problems trying to get FS9 up and running on W7, including reinstalling 3.999z9, the bullet has been bitten and I now have FSX +Accelleration installed on W7 and is running perfectly, thus far!

Realising that FSUIPC4 4.929 has to be installed - it has now been installed, except for the registration. Now, while I have always kept FSUIPC up to date for FS9, I have assumed to enter my usual registration details and the key that I used for FS9,but the registration process does not accept me!

I have tried both the keys for FSUIPC and WideFS, using my habitual name and email that are on your system.

Does FSX require a new registration process? - It is currently installed in the Modules part of FSX, with the registered area greyed out.

Thank you

Martin

As of today the currently supported version is 4.931.

FSUIPC4 is not FSUIPC3, it is a different product which involved a great deal of work (and still does, with Prepar3D developments). FSUIPC3 dates back late 2003, nearly 11 years ago.  And all updates and support was included in the original price all these years. Even FSUIPC4 is now 8 years old and the same level of support has been maintained for that.

Same for WideFS6 to WideFS7.

You need to go to SimMarket and purchase new keys. I think you will find it is worth it.

Regards

Pete

Thanks, Pete.

I only needed to have you clarify the points you made. Never an issue to make a purchase from you.

Again, thank you and long may you continue to support flight simulation, etc.

regards

Martin
