I have FScuipc on my FSX.

For the registration i bought these from SimMarket.

 

Fscuipc works after the registration very well.

But the registration of WIDEFS will not work.

 

If i fill in the registration-key and press OK the keynumbers disappear.

 

I have read the instructions of WIDEFS from mr.Dowson.

 

Can someone help me please how to registreed WIDEFS ?

Did you enter the registration key manually or use copy and paste.  If manually check that you are entering it correctly, it is very easy to do it wrong without realizing.

I FSCUIP installed and that went well. A few days later I tried to install WideFS and it does not work.

I do presies so as to FSCUIP but it will not work.

  I did enter the registration key manually or use copy and paste

Can you explain what needs to happen from the moment I unpacked? WideFS

Hi,

 

make sure you bought the correct WideFS version for FSX/ P3D (WideFS7) as you FSUIPC is. The WideFS version for FSUIPC3 (FS9) will not work with FSUIPC4.

I got FSCUIPC4 and WideFs7 from Simmarket.

But maybe someone give me a brief registration procedure
so I can see what I might be doing wrong

Hi Gerrit,

 

there is not really a special procedure. Just open FSUIPC and in the registration fields you paste the copied email and key's.

 

Do you get an error message that WideFS doesn't register or it 'just' doesn't work?

 

Btw- there is nothing to download and unzip into Moduls folder where FSUIPC is located other than FSUIPC itself. That was only needed with FSUIPC3 and its WideFS for FS9.

Hello,

I got all of FSCUIP removed and reinstalled.
On my desktop I have the installer installed.
Right click and run as administator.
Next screen says "Installed in FSX OK"

Then a small screen where I can register both. (FSCUIPC and WideFS)

registration FSCUIP goes well.

Next screen is registering WideFS.

After filling and press OK the completed key disappears.

So what goes wrong?

But what shows FSUIPC in FS when you open it from Addons tab?

IN FSX is full FSCUIPC visible and works well

The FSWIDE isas it says in the screen,  not registered and refers to the FSCUIPC installer.

So I go back to the installer and choose the option to only register. FSWide
So I get the input screen.
I fill my data plus the key.
Press Ok
And then the inlogkey disappears.

Cut and paste, I've also tried (and a thousand other)

I really do not know how to proceed.

I suggest you go back to Simarket and raise it with them.  In Pete's absence that may be the quickest route

I made this known to Simmarket.
They examined my key.

There was nothing wrong with it according to them.

They keep referring me to the forum and Peter Dowson for a solution.

I really do not know what to do to register in order to make WideFs  work.

If you've got FSUIPC registered then you will have a file in the Modules folder (under your main FSX folder) called FSUIPC4.key.

 

If you open it with Notepad you can see if your key for WideFS was entered. If not, you can add the WideFS line and key manually and save the file. Then start FSX again. This might get you working if the installer is having a problem accessing that file.

 

Here is my key file so you can see what it should look like (But obviously I've hidden my Keys).

Hi Gerrit,

 

From what you wrote in post #9 above, you seem to be following the correct procedure.

 

The steps are written in the document called "installing and registering FSUIPC4.pdf". This is found in the Zip file containing the FSUIPC installer.

 

The procedure is the same for registering FSUIPC, except you just choose the WideFS radio button.

 

You say that the key disappears from the screen when you press ok. Normally, a message appears under the key input area. It will either say "Thank you. Registered okay", or tell you that the key is invalid.  With invalid keys it blanks out the key input fields. With a successful registration the key stays. 

 

Are you getting a message underneath the key saying the key is invalid?

 

The only way I could get the key to disappear without a message appearing underneath was pressing the [clear] button.

Also, make sure the date on your PC is set correctly. Keys have a start date and won't work if your PC's date is set in the past.

Thanks for wanting to help.

 

After activating the installer FSCUIPC I get the opportunity to  register. FSCUIPC4 or WideFS7 or both

With this installer I have previously FsCuipc successfully put on the computer

Of course I choose "WideFS7"

and set "Just enter new registration"

After pressing "Go ahead", the key disappears and I read

"sorry, this key is not valid for WideFS registration"

So something is definitely not right.

I can't suggest anything else. The only reasons I know that the key would be invalid are:

 

1. The system date is wrong.

2. You're not using the current installer (4.936)

3. Your Name is not entered exactly as it is on your simMarket key page. Use copy and paste.

4. Your Email address is not entered exactly

5. The Key is not entered exactly

6. You've bought a key for WideFS6 (not 7) by mistake.

 

Pete gets back on Tuesday if no one else has any ideas.

Please run FS then close it and show me the FSUIPC4.LOG file from the FS Modules folder. Also, find the FSUIPC4.KEY file, ZIP it (VERY important) and send it as an attachment to me at petedowson@btconnect.com.
