FSGRW not communicating with P3Dv2.4 !!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Hi pete

My FSGRW (v1.7 build26) cannot found my P3D v2.4 or connect to it through the FSUIPC.

I've the latest FSUIPC version and the installation and procedures of FSGRW are correct .

And during transfer the weather to P3D V2.4

I got this massege :

An error occurred during communicating to your Simulator........ blablabla

During support I've found my steps in installation and using the FSGRW are correct (I got it work normally with the FSX before).

how to make my FSGRW see and locate my P3Dv2.4 ?

Thx

Someone tells me in their support forum that the FSGRW need to connect to FSUIPC in order to get it work with P3D v2.4.

Doesn't FSGRW have support? What do they say? I don't know what that message is nor what it is from, so I can't really help directly. But I assume you've actually checked that FSUIPC is installed and running? i.e. it's menu is there and works, showing the correct version -- 4.937?

Remember, if you are running FS "as adninistrator" then every FSUIPC client program needs to be run at the same level too, otherwise they can't talk to each other. The converse is also true. Best to never run any of them "as administrator" (it should not be necessary).

I am turned off the UAC.

Simply the problem is , FSGRW cannot connect to my P3D v2.4 thats it simply.

it work well with my FSX, but in P3D V2.4 not.

In FSGRW with P3D , here is the massege

an error occurred while communicating with your simulator, your simulator is stoped or not work, the program will coming back to the main menu.

Hi,

Did you install the FSGRW bridge? Are the necessary ports open on your firewall? It's definitely not FSUIPC producing this error. Please follow the installation guide and it will work (as for many other users)

Rgds

Reinhard

why di I use the bridge, I am in local use nit networked.

so no need to the bridge, at least now

also during the installation it does not give me any firewall masages for PASS or ALLOW the reaching..

Hi,

Also I have checked that the FSUIPC is 4.936.

 but its still new,

As you as well stated before that it works well with FSX but not with P3Dv2.4, it is well known that you have to use latest FSUIPC4 version! The version you use, 4.936, is old and works correct only up to P3D v2.3.

So first thing to do in any case, update to current FSUIPC4 version 4.937 that only supports P3D v2.4 and earlier (and FSX of course).

In your original message here you said the error report was

An error occurred during communicating to your Simulator........ blablabla

Maybe the "blablabla" bit explained what it was that the program didn't like? Why do you think part of the error report in unimportant?

Have you asked FSGRW support at all? That seems like the obvious place to go with a problem in their program. They should be able to diagnose it for you.

If you merely want me to check that your FSUIPC is working correctly (now) in P3Dv2.4 then please run P3d, then close it down and show me the FSUIPC4.LOG file contents from the P3D Modules folder.

Hi pete

There is no FSUIPC.LOG file inside my Midules file !!!!!

If thee is no Log file, then FSUIPC is not running and has never run! There will be no INI file generated either.

What files are there? It sounds either like you have not installed FSUIPC yet, or your installation failed.

Hi pete

The FSUIPC work and I've assign so many controls throught it.

I am disabling the P3D V2.4 controls and using FSUIPC to done that.

So how FSUIPC is not running !!!!!

Inside the modules file in my P3Dv2

4 there is no FSUIPC.LOG.

But all the other files are there.

FSUIPC always makes a Log. I suspect you are simply not recognising it because you have Windows hiding filetypes from you. Please change that Windows option as described in the FSUIPC documentation.

With Explorer hiding filetypes it will simply look like a Text file named FSUIPC4.

And here is the FSGRW log file :

Well, there are two things I have to say to that. The first is that it's mostly gobblydegook to me, (and therefore that it is FSGRW support you need to show it to), and the second is that this part:

SocketException: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:12000" CallStack1="   at System.Net.Sockets.TcpClient.Connect(String hostname, Int32 port)   at FsGlobal.RealWeather.Library.Client.Connectors.NetworkBridgeClient.Connect()   at FsGlobal.RealWeather.Library.Client.Connectors.Fsx.FsxConnector.Connect(Int32 pTimeOut)" />

most certainly talks about some TCP protocol and sockets being used, and not connecting. Since connection to FSUIPC uses no such mechanism I believe you are looking in the wrong direction. Evidently FSGRW needs something else you have not provided.

Have you not even yet bothered with the support for the very program you have problems with? It would seem to me to be the obvious first place to go rather than waste so much time here, don't you think?

strange, because i've unchecked the file hidding in folder options.

so all the files i think they showing up normally !!!!!!!!!!!

You are not looking correctly then, because FSUIPC always produces a log. There's no way it has ever run on any machine anywhere without making a log file.

Show me a directory listing for the Modules folder. You can do this by using the Dir command in a DOS window (command <ENTER> in the Run edit place), do

dir <path to FSX>\modules >modulesfiles.txt

or just take a pic or the explorer window showing the Modules folder.
