Starting 737

Could you give me the correct setting for the overhead starter switches in FSUIPC , is starter set or starter ?

Thanks

Whichever you need. Those are FS names, not FSUIPC's, and even I don't know what they all do. However "... SET" controls set a switch or lever according to the parameter value provided with it, whilst others either toggle switches or simply move them.

What specifically do you want to do?

You can see what FS keypresses or mouse clicks do by enabling Event logging in FSUIPC, then operating the said switches. FSUIPC's log file will then show the FS control used, if any, along with the parameter. By running FS in Windowed mode and enabling the console log you can see all this is real time whilst operating the switches.

Hi Pete

Thanks for a quick reply , I am running Ifly 737 and would like my overhead switches i.e. Starter selection ground to activate the starter on the engine , I have tried both starterset and toggle but neither work?

Thanks Eric

Can you start it using the facilities FS or iFly provide -- ie without worrying about buttons and switches on your hardware? If so, please re-read this part of my last message:

Since it is an add-on aircraft then it might be completely different and not use any FS controls in any case. You'll need to refer to the iFly documentation. Do they provide keyboard short cuts which you can assign, for instance?

Pete

I have problems with the starter set up in Ifly737 , the selection in FSUIPC shows starter 1(2) but when the button is assigned nothing happens in Ifly737 , is there a way to make this work? My buttons are connected via Bodnar card ?

Thanks

Sorry, I do not have the iFly737 and do not know how they programmed it. Perhaps you can find out how to start it normally, using keyboard and/or mouse? Once you know how to start it using normally supplied facilities only THEN think about assigning switches or buttons!

Maybe iFly supply some documentation, and possibly they have a Support Forum too?
