Confusing message when running Compile Airports Database

Recommended Posts

This is a frustrating message. Whe I select Compile Airports Database I get the message...

The following aircraft folder does not exist: D:\FSX\MyTraffic\Aircraft

I have MyTraffic6 and those entries are fine. But I cannot for the life of me find what file has this path stored. The path quite correctly, doesn't exist.

I think you'll find the folders defined in the fsx.cfg, and being MyTraffic 6 you'll probably also find their path is enclosed in quotes.  It's not invalid for the simulator, but it's the first time STB and a number of other add-ons have seen it and been caught out by it.  If you remove the quotes, that should take care of it.

Hi Simon,

I looked there but never spotted it.  Looked again and there it is. Now removed and all is okay.

It was not the MyTraffic6 entry. I have that taken care of. It was associated with MT5 probably.

Hi Ray,

Glad I could point you in the right direction.  There will be a fix for STB for FSX in due course, after the P3D V3 work is complete
