FSUIPC crashing the sim on exit

Recommended Posts

Hi Pete,

For a while now (3 separate versions), I've had an odd issue where FSUIPC will crash the sim when I confirm any control changes on just 2 of my planes. So if I make changes on PMDG planes, or the Dash 8, absolutely no issues, but if I change anything (buttons, axis) on the Carenado Baron 58 or Cirrus SR22 (just those 2 planes) when I hit the FSUIPC OK button the sim crashes. It also crashes vPilot with unhandled exception HRESULT: 0xC000014B. The changes are saved ok, so I've just left it as it is till now.

From Event Viewer:

The details you provide show it isn't FSUIPC causing a crash:

Framework Version: v4.0.30319

Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.

Exception Info: System.ArgumentException

   at System.TimeSpan.Interval(Double, Int32)

   at MS.Win32.HwndSubclass.SubclassWndProc(IntPtr, Int32, IntPtr, IntPtr)

FSUIPC doesn't use any part of Framework. Something you have running which uses FSUIPC is probably the culprit.

The Log shows you using LINDA. Maybe there's some incompatible element in that? Does it use .NET Framework?

I'm afraid I know nothing about LINDA.  So, first see if you still get crashes without it, and then see if LINDA support can help. If it isn't LINDA then, as you say,

if I change anything (buttons, axis) on the Carenado Baron 58 or Cirrus SR22 (just those 2 planes)

There's something odd about those add-ons, maybe only in relation to LINDA. FSUIPC does care or know what aircraft you are using. Changing buttons or axes goes through the same code for all.

I'll see if I can find a correlation, Pete. It's not LINDA, I've only recently started using it and this has been happening for a while. I thought it might be Carenado planes but I have 5, of which only 2 are causing the crash. It must be something which is unique to the B58 and the SR22 but trying to work that out will be tricky...

Hi,

you have also running those as a source, projectFLYTools.exe and Spad.exe

360 Run: "C:\Users\awhal\Desktop\projectFLYTools.exe"
422 Run: "D:\Program Files (x86)\SPAD\Spad.exe"

Well spotted Thomas!

Maybe the problem is related to one of those?

Pete
