FSUIPC5: Status Questions (from Announcements!)

Thanks for clarifying things up Pete.

I currently use 2 versions of SIOC with my OC hardware and Prosim , as all 9 OC together causes SIOC to hang after a while.

SIOC on my client uses WideFs. More Prosim users have multiple SIOC versions running like that icw WideFs....

Is the discontinuing of WideFs file transfer causing an issue for us ?

Thanks,

Gerard

No, I don't know anything using that facility -- one of my own personal utilities used to use it.

Any chance the problem with the X-55 system will be fixed in V5?

FSUIPC5 is at the same state as FSUIPC 4.966n which is fine with the X-55.

4.967 will be released as the full install version of 4.966n in a few days time.

Not complete version call it BETA

FOR Prepar3D 4 (64-bit)

Install complete FSUIPC version 5.10 Install FSUIPC5.10
This is the 64-bit equivalent to 4.967 above, but it is an ongoing development with many parts still missing. These are documented in a PDF insde the ZIP.
NOTE: payment facilities for registrations will be open for business shortly.

I posted somewhere else on this forum today.  Maybe one of ya'll. can help.

I have the registered version installed into 3.4.

I just downloaded the new version for 3.4 and the version for my new V4.

Should I run both or just one as I have both sims installed on different drives.

Will it mess things up if I have them both installed?

I'll be buying the registration for V4 as soon as it's allowed too.  Today or now if I could.

Thanks to Pete for this.  But I'm not as adept at this stuff as you guys.

Please advise if I can run both.

Thanks.

Yes, just not at the same time on the same PC.

Only a question: what about macros created in FSUIPC4?

Same. Just copy everything over. Rename FSUIP4.INI to FSUIPC5.INI

SIOC seems to be blocked do you have a confirmation about it?

Blocked by what? I've no idea what SIOC does, but if it interfaces to FSUIPC in the normal way, and provided you run it and P3D at the same privilege level, then there should be n problem. Maybe it checks the version numbers and doesn't like them? Try the SIOC support, wherever that is.

Hi Pete,

First of all, I would like to thank you for your efforts, I have been an FSUIPC user for many years. It's a great piece of software!

I have a quick question though, as Google isn't giving me the answer... Do existing users of FSUIPC4 need to purchase a new license for FSUIPC5? Or is there some way to upgrade for free?

Sorry if its been asked before, my search-fu has failed me.

Kind regards,
Sander

Why use Google, when it is clarified many times in the FSUIPC5 threads in the main Forum? You are posting in an Announcement forum instead!

Does OpenCockpits have a support forum? Maybe SIOC has some version check and won't work with P3D4 because it's a version it doesn't know?

I will get the paid version of FSUIPC5, when it shows up in Simmarket, as I will migrate to P3Dv4.

But I wanted to join in the current excitement of add-ons and tools being released for the new simulator.

I have been, unfortunately, unable to download the 5.1 version, as the hyperlink in Pete's "Updated Modules", takes me to a "This site can't be reached" and on one occasion, it activated my anti-virus alert with regards to the "fsuipc5.exe"

I checked all the other hyperlinks in the "Updated Modules" forum of Pete's, and they are all working OK.

I am not sure if it is only me. Maybe I should just wait for Simmarket's version?

Thanks for any advice, and thanks Pete for the effort!!

Many regards,

Roberto
