  1. Hi Peter, WideFS has been working perfect in my PC. Just wondered why everytime WideClient was started, there's a message in the title bay saying 'WideClient FS98 Eliminator - Connected'. I only connected WideFS to FS9 in my main PC. There's FS2002 installed in client PC, FS2000 and FS9 in my main PC, but not FS98 in both PCs. Besides, what add-ons are you using while playing FS9 with WideFS ? Just want to know because I am quite worried about adding new FS add-ons due to conflict problems. Daniel VHHH
  2. Hi Peter, I have been using WideFS and FSUIPC to connect RCv3.1, FS Flightkeeper to FS9 in main computer. Worked great and gave me countless happy flying hours. Thanks for your excellent work ! We FS simmers never stop pursuing greater realism in our beloved hobby. Right ?I am considering adding more FS application programs, ActiveSky, Flight Deck Compansion...etc. But I apparently came across reading somewhere that WideFS and FSUIPC could only connect 3 programs. Is that true ? If so, any future development for more ? I hope WideFS and FSUIPC could at least support 4 because we really need at least 3-4 programs to run FS9 : ATC, external weather, flight deck enhancement, flight keeping, etc. Daniel VHHH
  3. Hi all, 1.I still used FS2000 for some great add-ons. However, I could not register FSUIPC and WideFS in FS2000 because every time I got to Option / FSUIPC menus, FS2000 failed and closed. I have tried the "Hide Menu" method as described in FSUIPC document but still failed to get to the FSUIPC page to register. I have tried every screen modes, no way to get to the page to register. What could I do ? 2. I could get FSUIPC and WideFS registered in FS2004 in my server computer. But when I started WideClient in my client computer and then the FS application program (called S-Combo), the application program failed. The WideClient log was as follows : ********* WideClient Log [version 6.51] Class=FS98MAIN ********* Date (dmy): 05/02/06, Time 20:52:22.172: Client name is CHY02 471 Attempting to connect now 1022 Server = CHY01 1042 Trying TCP/IP host "CHY01" port 8002 ... 1042Okay, IP Address = 192.168.0.140 1072 Connection made okay! 2694 Block sequence error: expected 1 but received 2 53958 New Client Application: "S-Combo" (Id=1124) 266874 New Client Application: "S-Combo" (Id=1680) 294994 New Client Application: "S-Combo" (Id=1624) 581336 Error on client post-Connection Select() [Error=10053] Software caused connection abort 581336 Connection closed by server! 581336 The connection was terminated due to a time-out or other failure! 581346 Ready to try connection again 581356 Attempting to connect now 582367 Error on client pre-Connection Select() [Error=10061] Connection refused 582378 Ready to try connection again 582388 Attempting to connect now What's wrong ? 3. I had a copy of FS2002 installed in my client computer but I did not start this FS2002 when I started WideClient. Do I have to remove this FS2002 copy first because that was all my FS application programs used to pointed to before I use WideFS? Do I have to reinstall again these application programs without FS in the client computer ? If so, where should I point to when the FS application programs ask where the FS folder is ? These application programs cannot be installed if they could not detect where FS resides !! I attempted to run S-Combo, Radar Contact v3.1 and FS Flight Keeper in my client computer. Please help !! Daniel
  4. Hi All, I have no knowledge on LAN. I intend to buy a new computer for MSFS and use the old computer for FS apllications. I just purchased wideFS and FSUIPC. Is there any tutorial about how to set up 2 computers and make use the wideFS ? I mean, what hardware do I need to link the two computers ? Any special things to set up in WindowsXP ? Which programs to install first, WideClient or FS application programs ? Should I connect the internet to the client computer, or the host computer, or both, if the application programs need to download data from internet ? I read the wideFS and FSUIPC document but somehow could not find the answers. Can anyone give me some help on this ? Daniel
