  1. Hi Petejust a quick update I didn't have alot of time last night but what I have done so far is added the other USB HUB and put the X-52 controllers off of that hub and am leaving it connected. I also upgraded to ver 4.50 last night and created a profile I named PROPbasically a twin engine setup for planes like the Baron, the other profile is fighters for the use of the x-52 contollers. So far things are working out, I have lots to do yet. I need to finish the prop profile, i.e. setup the PAN switch and all the other buttons and key pressesalso I really need to work on calibrating the throttles#1 is way off only get about 50% power right now and it was very rough to try and takeoff and flybut I'm getting there. I'll update you later on the progress. Thanks Pete, John
  2. Thank You Peteyou pretty much told me everything I thought. The problem that I have with keeping them all plugged in is the fact that I have them mounted on boards that then mount to my desktopI know it sounds strange but works best for my desk. I think what I am going to do is use separate hubs for each set of controllers, that way I can leave them plugged in all the time just move the one set with its hub around to a side of the desk. It give me more length on the cables that way and gets them out of the way. Also I really like the idea of using the Profiles!!! Thank you very much for adding that! I will get ver 4.50 installed tonight and start getting everything setup. I'll let you know how it all goes. Thank You again Pete, :D :D John
  3. I have two sets of controls that I want to use. I have a Saitek Yoke with an extra Throttle , that way I can use it for 2 engine aircraft. I also Have the Saitek X-52 controlsit has a stick and throttle I also have the Saitek rudder pedals. The way I currently wish to use themI have both sets mounted on a board that I set on top of my desk. I use the Yoke and extra throttle for flying GA type aircraft i.e Baron, Goose etc Use the X-52 for fighter i.e. f-16 When I swap the out I plug them into the same USB port on a hub. BTW I am using FSX sp1 with accel .. and also Vista Ultimate 64 bit OS and currently FSUIP4 ver 4.40 will upgrade tonight to 4.50 I have not been using aircraft specific when setting up the yoke and throttles. I read something on the forum about profiles but didn't see anything in FSUIP4 about profiles. I really just want to know the best way to set all this up. I can not leave all the controllers plugged in at the same time because of space restrictions. Should I use different usb ports, does it matter? Revert to aircraft specific and set up the different controllers for the individual planes? I think the more I read the more I am makeing it harder on me. Let me also say thisI have not tried setting up the X-52 via FSUIP4 yet. Also I do not have their (Saitek) software loaded only the drivers. Thanks, John
  4. It is actually possible that this is correct. A zero prop pitch creates maximum resistance to the engine and an idle throttle setting may not generate enough torque to prevent stalling. There's no reverse prop pitch on either the Baron or the Goose. And this is confirmed by checking the "prop_reverse_available" parameter in the Aircraft.CFG files. If you want to try something with a prop reverse facility you'll need to try the King Air. Regards Pete Excellent Pete .... I can stop pulling my hair out now!!! :D Man if everyone offered the same level of support you do it would be a more wonderful world! Merry Christmas Pete and a Happy New Year. John
  5. I have the exact setup that you have and also having some problems. I can not get the calibration correctI'm sure that it is just something I don't fully understand and will continue to work on it. But one of the things I am trying to sort out is not so much reverse thrust but rather reverse prop pitch. I fly the default Baron and Goose. If I try and calibrate the prop pitch, when I have the throttles at idle and bring the prop pitch to 0 (min) the engines cut off. If I do not calibrate throttles, prop pitch, and mixture they seem to work okay. But I still can not figure out how to get the reverse prop pitch. I am using 2 throttle quads so have a lever for each engine. Been a bit frustrating. Any advice help would be great. Thanks, John
  6. Hi Pete and Bill, Sometimes you just need to back away from the keyboardlast night after I got home and fired up the computer it appears that everything loaded fine and GoFlight modules are all working .... Now for my next task trying to get my CH yoke and ped's configured using your module Pete .... Thanks and I'll get back to simming!!! :D John
  7. Hi BillThank is good to hear .... I just wish it were true for me. I get the panels to turn on and I thought everything was working but as I said if I change the comm/nav freqit doesn't update in the cocpit, same is true trying to change heading or course bug in hsi. I'm sure I'll get it fixed but it does take time to troubleshoot but it is very good to hear it is working for you. I'll update tomorrow after I try the next few things. Thanks, John M.

  10. Peteto be honest I'm not sure of which version I'm currently running, I have downloaded FSUIPC4_4104 and will install that tonight as well as the reinstall of SP1 and let you know what happens You know at this point I wish I had not installed the sp1 because I didn't have any problems before I did itbut I'm sure that things will get ironed out just frustrating ... Thanks again Pete, John
  11. Thanks Pete for getting back so quick. I'll uninstall the sp1 and reinstall and also install you're newest version as well. I'll post again with the results, just incase someone else is having an issue with goflightit just seems to me it is a simconnect issue. Thanks again, John
  12. Hi Pete, I submitted the following text on the goflight forum but figured I would also post it here ... Is anyone having issues since installing FSX SP1? Here is the problems I have had. Prior to SP1 I never had an issue with any of my addonsGoflight or TrackIR. I installed sp1 and lost both programsTrackIR and Goflight panels wouldn't even light up. I read on PTaylors Bloghe is with the ACES team that sp1 should be installed on a RTM version of FSX, so I uninstalled FSX and did a reinstall, then applied SP1 then reinstalled both TrackIR and Goflight. Nope didn't work. So I found the info from Pete Dowson about reinstalling simconnect. So I did thatbasically deleted the directory that he said, BTW sp1 but another one in the same location but different namedid the repair of fsx and it reinstalled the directory that I deleted and now my TrackIR works fine and my Goflight panels atleast lite up, but I still get no input to the sim from them. What I mean is if I change the comm or nav settings, not updated in fsx panels, same goes for the heading or course bug. I am getting very frustrated with all this and about to remove everything and start over again but it takes hours to do that. Has anyone got any ideas here???? Thanks, John M. Now with that said Pete have I really screwed up my installation and need to start over again? I don't know if running the repair off the fsx cd's messed up the sp1 install or what. What you think??? Thanks for any help Pete, John
  13. Pete I did get a reply from them and will work with them to get this sorted out. I think that their tech support issues are worked out. John
  14. Hi PeteI renamed that dll and do not have any problems now. I do not have that module and the new build of go flights software installed the dll in the modules folder. I have sent an email to their tech support concerning it and hope that I will get a response. However, their tech support has been a little lacking lately. If I don't here from them soon I'll try and call them and let them know. Thanks again Pete, John
  15. Pete you are correctGFMcp2k4.dll is the dll that is doing it. But I need to run it for my goflight modules don't I??
