I am investigating the use of 2d panels in a/c that presently include vc only as advertised. I have used 2d panels exclusively. I have been using FS since V 1.0. Recently purchased some aircraft that only have vc. I also purchased IR 5. Can not get that to work properly. This all prompted me to do the previously mentioned investigation. Can anyone provide info to look into possibly changing back to 2d. Thanx in advance for any help or suggestions. Pete

"Scoobflight" please excuse me not getting back to you as that was not my intent. Although for the most part I have roughly figured out what needs to & flights seem to procide as they should. Climb mode not Cruise, thats corrct. FL37 would be to high for KIAH but my destination is KMIA.

P3D REX products No idea of temp, can try to reconstruct. Throttle floorboarded. In CLB mode. Stuggles to maintain speed until stall. This is the second time. Almost as if the a/c wasnt meant to fly at these high altitudes. As far as a flight reproduction, I could fly this again. The flight is from KBRO - KMIA NowPA.pln

Flying the 145. I'm at alt. 350. Speed is in CRZ mode. Speed has degraded to the point that i'm getting a stall.135/145 knots. I know that I have some setting askew but i'll be damned if I can figure it out. Thottles are at 84.6, speed at 135 yellow. Again sorry for my late reply. I did again go thru those tutorials in the manual. Did pick up on a couple of things that were fuzzy in my mind. As far as the FMS is concerned my flights are different from whats there. In my flight setup I LittleNav to make a PLN. Then setting the FMS and feed the plan into the FMS with no sids or stars. I also use RadarContact as my flight ATC. Thats why no sids & stars. RC gives the end info for landing. Now I have been able to follow the pln on the FMS. So, at least i'm pogressing a bit. After T/O & with beginning intial climb, go to climb power a pick FLC. At the lower altitudes, speeds were held there was reasonable climb rate. That was the flight I am doing now. Transition altitude = 290. Level and wait for speed to rebuild. Ask for 320 & got 320. Speed continued to evaporate as well as climb rate. At 320 asked for & received 360. This time speed, with throttles wide open, speed bled off to stall in no time. No climb power, no climb. So, I will stay at 340, wait to see furthure into the flight as to what happens. ERJ 145. Posted a reply but it did take for whatever reason. Sorry.

Two questions. one & one probabley dumb on my part. First. There is somekind of hotfix above but I am not sure if I need it or not. Second. I am trying to figure out how to program the FMS. What do you do if destination has no stars. Do I just layin the P3D flight plan? I have gone thru the procedure at least 10 times. get to start engines, taxi & T/O, then the trouble starts. Cant maintain proper speeds, does not maintain set in course, does not maintain vs. I know i'm doing somestuff wrong but this is driving me crazy. You would think that at least once outa 10 something would go right. I am not a novice & have used flight sim since V1, but never had to use an fms and never had a plane as diverse as the 145. To start my .air file Embraer ERJ145 FDE version 2.3. & A/C config. V2. I run P3D v4.4. Are there differences between files for FSX, FSX Steam & P3D. I guess the real question how can you tell which file you have once loaded into the sim.

Sorry for not getting back to you yesterday. Here's what I did FYI. When I upgraded to p3d v4.2 it was an uninstall of 4.1 & an install of 4.2. Since that time I had unistalled & reinstalled the client probably 4x. The last time giving me no joy. Then on Saturday I did a complete uninstall of 4.2 & then a complete reinstall of 4.2. Test flight with nothing else loaded from Los Angeles to San Diego. Flight was fine. Next test flight, San Diego to Los Angeles with FSUIPC 124 loaded. Again, a good flight. Today, flight from Los Angeles to Chicago with FSUIPC, Radar Contact & REX loaded. A 4.2 hour flight where everything worked as it should. That last complete uninstall / reinstall must have gotten rid of the "gremlin" I even flew the last flight with the old 767 we talked about earlier. So go figure. I would certainly like to express my appreciation for being patient with me & a special thanks for all that you do for the Flight Sim community. Let me know if you need anything else. Pete

Pete, I'm sure that it's something in my system. I'm also sure that it's probably something dumb that could easily be overlooked. I have been messing with FlightSims since the early 1980's & if a problem arises it's usually something dumb. dll & exe.xml's attached V4.1 was completely uninstalled & 4.2 was a clean install. "Delete Generated Files" was done. "UsePDK=No" was not included in the .ini. I have now placed that into the .ini file. I will disable the .ini file so a new one is generated & & place the UsePDK=No statement if it again not present. "FSUIPC5.Joyscan.csv" attached as requested. dll.xml exe.xml FSUIPC5.JoyScan.csv

Rebooted & reran 4.2 FSUIPC5.log p3d error report.txt

Pete, no addon besides ORBX which really isn't an addon. I reinstalled the client, still the same. Using a stock a/c. Dbl checked security setting. pass thru allowed for 3.4 & 4.2 no error events logged. p3d window just disappears

Ran 4.2 and now it disappears with a stock a/c. (Beech 350) Went thru all the steps we did before with no joy.. P3D just disappears with no error output The 767 a/c ran fine with v4.1 & fsuipc, iI think it was .122 I am at a loss here, thinking about going back to 4.1 FSUIPC5.log

Started the sim & changed to a native a/c, the Beechcraft 350. Exited the sim. Deleted the wxstationlist.bin file & all other wx file from the last startup. The 767 loaded was an older SkySpirit2010 - Boeing 767-3P6/ER. I did look at the event view but no error event recorded for p3d. As I mentioned, it just disappears Loaded the default scenario with the Beech 350 & was able to fly & land without incident. Ended the scenario and reset with a new scenario with the 767 a/c, got the same disappearing act. Must be the old a/c. Thanx for all your help. FSUIPC5.ini FSUIPC5.log

Got rid of all the .*wx files & it seemed to work out of the box. Then I ended that scenario to setup a new scenario & again after booting into p3d it just disappears with no error notifications. FSUIPC5.log

New install of P3D 4.2. Start clean with no add-ons, sim runs fine Add 5.124 to start, P3D goes to Scenario setup. Start P3D, it loads, then just disappears, no error messaging, no nothing, just disappears. FSUIPC5 Install.log FSUIPC5.log

Pete, Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have not yet updated to 4.972 in V3.4. Also, I did not understand that the FSUIPC for P3D V4 was a separate purchase. Am I now correct in that??

Peter. I have two versions of P3D installed. For V3.4, FSUIPC installed, working properly. (FSUIPC v9.7.1) For V4.1, FSUIPC installed, show as a pull down with P3Dm v4.1 running but will not register. (FSUIPC v5.1.2.2) Thanx in advance for your help.
