  1. Interesting idea, thanks for sharing. Mine is two weeks old, as well. As far as I can see, Republic operates for Delta Connection only very few flights, mostly to and from KBOS. I worked around that by changing those manually to CRJ9's operated by Endeavor (EDV/9E), as those already provide services to and from KDTW and are very comparable. That way, I have the Delta Connection livery for those flights, too. It seems like there aren't any Delta Connection liveries available for Embraer E175 in any of the add ons.
  2. That sounds very interesting! But how do I do that? In my Airfields folder, they're only displayed with the ICAO code, not with the number... EDIT: My bad. Of course I have to look at the Airplanes folder, right?^^ So if I rename the "airplanes_texpack03" and "airplanes_texpack03.manifest" in, for example, "airplanes_texpack34" and "airplanes_texpack34.manifest", it should work?
  3. Hey guys! I can see that in the updated Real Color for LAX, there's an American Eagle livery included for Republic Airways' Embraer 175. I'd like to utilize that for a custom schedule I created for PHL. Is that possible? With everything I tried so far, they either spawn in the default Republic livery or not at all. Any ideas? Thanks!
  4. Valid question. I guess it depends on how complicated you'd want to make it. The most simple idea would probably be to let aircraft check all the terminals for the smallest suitable gate first before picking a bigger one. For example: Airline A is assigned to terminals 1 and 2. There's a medium size aircraft (e.g. Boeing 737 or Airbus A320) arriving. If there are no medium gates available at terminal A, it would then check for medium size gates at terminal 2, and only in the case when there are no medium size gates available either, it would then pick a large gate at terminal A. Another idea would be to simply make it possible to assign priorities to the terminals, possibly for each airline individually (in case more than one terminal is assigned to an airline). Or, more complicated, to even assign individual gates or ramps to the airlines or even individual flights in the schedule file.
  5. Thanks guys! No wonder I didn't find anything useful with the search function, when it's buried deeply in an unrelated topic... 😄 I did find a work around and assigned Aloha to terminal 3 instead. I just hope that they have a better solution for that in the next version...
  6. Hey guys! I have created a few custom schedules with EliGrim's amazing schedule creator. Can't praise him enough for building that tool, it's been a great help. I do have a question however, concerning the allocation of terminals. Every arriving flight will check for available gates/ramps in a specific order. In case you have assigned more than one terminal to a specific airline, the flight will check one terminal first, than the other. My question is: Is there any way to change that order, so that the flight doesn't check terminal A first and terminal B second, but the other way around? I've tried changing the order of terminals in the terminal file (putting terminal B ahead of terminal A), as it seemed to me that it's following the order of appearance in that file. But that didn't do the trick Specifically I'm concerned about the freight ramps at PHNL. I found that at the Terminal_Cargo North with its four ramps, there's not enough space to accommodate all Aloha Air Cargo and Northern Air Cargo operations. Since the accident of Transair flight 810, the FAA has grounded Rhoades Aviation. Therefore, there's more space available at Terminal_Cargo West. So I decided to put Aloha there, as well. As Cargo North has ramps suitable for large aircraft, but Cargo West only has ramps suitable for medium aircraft, I'd like to primarily use Cargo West for the 73F's, so that North doesn't get blocked by them in case a 76Y or other heavy arrives. Therefore, I'd like arriving aircraft to first check for available ramps at Cargo West and only secondly to check at Cargo North. Automatically, it primarily checks as North, though. Any ideas how to change that?
  7. 1. When they're pushed back and you tell them either the runway or the runway plus specific taxi instructions, they'll start taxiing immediately. That's normal. If you don't want them to taxi right away, just let them sit there and don't say anything to them. You're correct in so far that you can't tell them a specific intersection to take off from when they're still at the gate. You can only do that once they're pushed back. 2. That's a really minor issue. Depends on the airport. Sometimes they'll call tower, sometimes they'll call ground, sometime they'll call no one specifically. 3. There's no instruction. However, there is a work around for that. Tell them "Hold short of Taxiway xyz", and fill xyz with a taxiway they won't cross anyways. In that case, they'll only hold short of that taxiway - which they won't encounter - and the runway they're assigned to. Not ideal, but it works.
  8. Thanks, that did the trick. Should've thought of that before, really. I couldn't even see the blue button before, it was just black script on white, like the rest of it.
  9. Maybe I'm not aware what exactly is possible with FR24 and FA. How do you download data from FR24, for example? I would just copy and paste it to a word file - or directly into EliGrim's Custom Schedule Creator. While I can't do the latter with the data from flightera.net, I can certainly copy and paste it to a word document. Only obstacle is that it doesn't display the aircraft type used for the flight... You'll have to click on the flight number to see that. So yes, that is a lot more work... And, of course, you'd have to type in every flight manually to the schedule creator.
  10. I've created a schedule for KSAN, using data imported from Flightradar24. There were no errors, so I compiled the project. On the download page, I receive this message: Your schedule is ready for download. In rare cases it may take a moment until the archive is ready and the download button works. The button doesn't work, indeed. I've waited for about an hour now... How long may said moment last?
  11. Ah! Thanks for the link, I didn't know that. That is most interesting! You can actually search for arrivals/departures on specific dates and it'll provide the data for you. That's what I was looking for!
  12. That's what I suspected... Actually, I have a business plan subscription to Flightradar 24 at the moment. With that, I can trace individual flights back to three years prior, but I can't find the option to view the complete activity at a given airport further back then 36 hours or so.
  13. Hey guys, I'm currently working on a few custom schedules. I think I've got the hang of it pretty well by now. However, I can only find current airport data, which means of course reduced traffic due to the pandemic. Now, I'd like to create a few schedules with more traffic, according to pre-pandemic schedules, for example for KEWR and PHNL. Does anyone have an idea were I could get data for these airports for the summer 2019 season, for instance? Once I compiled those, I'm happy to share the schedules with you guys.
  14. Yeah, that looks good. Anyways, that isn't the most important issue for me.
  15. What I was mostly looking at were the aiport codes. In game, airports are identified by the ICAO code (which are often obsolete and sometimes never existed in the first place), while in the schedule file they're identified by the IATA code. I can't see a reason for that, but there may be one, of course. Would like to know the reason, though.
  16. Hi guys! First of all: I've been playing Tower!3D Pro for quite some time, 600 hours according to Steam. And I think, it's at its base a great game. I also purchased many of the DLC's. That said, I would've played it a lot more if it wasn't for some really frustrating issues, that also stoped me from putting more money into it. Thus I'd like for the new version to gradually improve on the old one. I don't think it would take all that much to turn this already good game into a very good one. A lot of the issues are pretty obvious to anyone who played the game for a few hours. Hence, some of my ideas have already been mentioned and I support many of the suggestions already made in this thread. In that case, I'll list them anyways just to emphasize how important I find them. For the gameplay itself: Most importantly (and I haven't read this as often as I expected): We need parking positions for aircraft for later use and to be towed to in order to make space at the terminals for new arrivals. For me the most annoying issue is that many scheduled flights aren't being operated, because other aircraft are blocking the gates. I know how I can work around it - by deleting everything but one or two hours of action from the schedule, readjusting the terminal allocations - but it's still a pain in the ass. Sometimes I want to play for a few hours on end, and I actually enjoy an airfield with a few more planes parking than just the ones I'm going to operate in the near future. Related to that: I'd like to see more customisable gates: being able to assign airlines or even individual flights in the schedule not only to a terminal, but also to specific gates Therefore it'd also be nice if you'd provide a list of terminals with the respective number of gates, itemised by their ability to handle heavy/medium/light aircraft for every airport/DLC. Apart from the already confirmed better graphics: I reallz want to see a more realistic depiction of aircraft seizes relative to other aircraft, and relative to the airport itself, so that planes don’t get stuck (e.g. due to other planes, or buildings blocking space on pushback). More customisable weather settings would be very nice. I'd like to be able to adjust wind bearing and speed, and weather settings like sunny/cloudy/rainy/snowfall. In that case, it'd be great to also implement de-icing procedures. Also, more and more realistic ground traffic would be nice. I'd really like to have the camera modes revisited. The default position is okay, but there need to be more options. For instance, a camera mode that focuses on a selected plane and follows it would be very nice, regardless of its position on the airfield. Maybe that's what the action mode was supposed to be, but in that case it isn't working properly. Additional, fixed camera positions around the airfield would also be very much appreciated. Generally please only use IATA-codes for all purposes and drop the use of ICAO-codes - or the other way around. Having both at the same time makes things unnecessarily complicated. Make express exitways work. In general, planes shouldn't slow down that much when still far away from the next exitway. Allow for runways to be utilised as taxiways. If you want to keep the points system, make it actually matter: E.g. implement the ability to unlock additional airports or weather conditions upon reaching a certain threshold. You could implement three basic airports (e.g. EDDH, KMSY, TIST), then three unlockable airports (e.g. KLAS, NZAA, ZBAA), along with more airport DLC’s, of course. Allow for games to be saved and continued at a later point. I'd like that very much, but it really just makes sense if the first issue gets fixed. For the technical stuff around the actual gameplay: Most importantly: Provide better long term support and bug fixing. It's understandable that there are bugs upon release, but you have to fix them, really. Not just for the vanilla game, but also for the DLC's (looking at KMEM particularly). The installation and update process needs to be brought up to modern standards. I'm using Steam, so I'd like it all to be included in the steam shop with automatic updates once I have the game and respective DLC's installed. Like it is with most other games I play. Having to go back to the page, download the new version and install it with having to fill in the username and codes all manually is a pain in the ass. Include real traffic and real color in the base game and the subsequent DLC’s, respectively. Having to buy those seperately is a rip off, frankly. No one cares about the phantasy airlines and their liveries. That's also one of the reasons I refrained from buying more DLC's. I'm happy paying for a good product, but this just feels like I'm being drained of my money, and I don't like that. Allow for the community to implement mods, especially for more aircraft and liveries, ground vehicles, and details at the airports itself. And finally: Due to the current corona crisis and the related grounding of fleets and eventual airline bankruptcies, the game should orient itself on the airline industry’s standard prior to the crisis (in regards to terminals, airlines, schedules and so on) If these points would be included within the next version, I'd be one of your best customers for sure.
  17. Hey guys, I've got a problem with the combination of take offs at runway intersections and the use of voice recognition. Specifically, operating at KLAS. When I tell my aircrafts to go to runway 7L, there's no problem at all. Yet, if I tell them "runway 7L at A5" (or A6, doesn't matter), and then "taxi via C6, B, A5", the vr always manages to squeeze in a "S, L" between "taxi via" and "C6, ...". Again, this happens only when using runway intersections. It works fine when telling them just "runway 7", so I don't think it's got something to do with the voice recognition in general. Anyone else got this kind of problem?
