  1. The X-Plane 10 team we expected to open to the rest of the community, but I think we already can say they missed this chance. A program that does not have a way to add content from the professional 3D Studio world is in a niche corner. I see no way to create content for X-Plane that cannot be created 5-10 times faster for FSX, and I see no way to use anything usable in FS9,FSX, Prepar3D, or other professional Render Studios, in X-Plane 10 - sorry.

  2. The modules loaded by FSX have to be added to the file dll.xml in your user profile, under

"%appdata%\microsoft\FSX". The FSUIPC install normally does this. So check there if you find an entry, if not, then you know at least why, and somebody else can help, normally Peter also isn't far away from here.

  3. If you have proper backups of all the installers, it is far easier and the result will have far less complications if you uninstall FSX completely, manually remove all its traces, defragment the drives, and install fresh from ground FSX, than the SDK, than SP1, SDK SP1, SP2, SDK SP2, all global addons, all regional addons, all local addons.

The so called "repair function" will trash most addons anyway, and put them into a state that they cannot be properly installed again.

World of AI, Projekt AI bzw dessen CD-Version Ultimate Traffic, Justflights diverse Pakete.

  5. MyTraffic is featuring amphibian flights with GA and many amphibian airlines, it is Aviation Maurice and others in Canada, Loch Lomond (G), Fjellfly(LN), Seaplanes of Key West(N), Alligator Airlines (VH), etc. The airlines use a special AI Cessna 206 model.

The request to name the Vancouver place CVHB originates to a communication with a friend from Vancouver Island Virtual Airline, they seem to use that definition.

So, if you find these triangles offending, deletion of that airport will only affect Aviation Maurice no longer to come to Vancouver Harbour 3 times a day, and a few GA aircrafts.

If you want to keep them, I attach a version of the airport where, by making the runway only 5 feet in width, the triangles should be shrinked to the size of a plastic bag swimming in the water.

  7. According to an article I read in the Aero International last week, now there are 80 airports certified to be A380 ready world wide, so they could handle one tomorrow ( with a few days pre warning time I assume ). Handling a dozen together tomorrow would cause some problems

It is well known that Boeing is pressuring the US airports to signal concerns about any new Airpbus plane - they did so with the A340-600 "KJFK: No US airports wants it" - and Lufthansa and others are making a big part of their US business with this bird - there were just a few taxiway crossings that needed a handful of sand in the corners to keep the distance from tires to grass save

  8. This box has exactly 80 m width, guess why the A380 has 79.8m span? It shorter than the 777-300 and the A340-600 anyway.

All international airports built during the last decade have at least a few fitting parking positions, like the one at Terminal2 in EDDF which isn't so new.

The arguments against the A380 are correct for the inner US market - but how many 747-400s are flying there? The A380 is the aircraft to connect overcrowded hubs that have not a single slot left - Tokyo-London, Singapore-Paris, Hongkong-Frankfurt, Tokyo-KLAX - and on these flights cargo is important and a good fraction of the total flight revenue.

The A380 will be an economical success if the air traffic in Asia keeps growing - so another SARS virus could be a bigger thread to it than anything Seattle is able to build.

  9. Hi, I read this. I do not know what Lago is doing with Emma Field, and do not have that scenery. What excatly does the Emma field installation. Does it include any dll?

If they do, it will be the case that this dll is incompatible to the sound file generated by MyTraffic. In this case, I recommend that you install the original sound file from the CD. If this doesn't work, there is nothing MyTraffic specific left in the sound area, so its a Lago problem. :(

If it works, use editvoicepack to update the sound file. If it doesn't work than, its a Lago problem. :(

If it works, there is no problem. :D
