  1. Hello - I'm using the most recent version of FSUIPC7 with MSFS, also up to date. I recently did a new install on a new computer. During one of the built in trainings, I started hearing a voice (different voice than instructor) calling out what sounded like internal commands related to whether my pitch was correct relative to the lesson. These also were shown in the objectives window as they were spoken. Here's an example: Disconnecting FSUIPC returns behavior to normal with the regular instructor narrating the lesson. Reconnecting FSUIPC recreates this other voice. The only settings I've changed from default were to send the elevator to FSUIPC for calibration. (At least, that's the only setting I'm aware that I changed). This hadn't happened in my previous installation but I hadn't used that in several months. Thanks! Edit: I didn't mention this as it didn't seem relevant, but I did turn on these settings. Edit 2: Turning off the autosave options may have resolved this. It seems unlikely and it was a very quick check but initially, the problem seems to go away with both of the above options unchecked. Is that possible?
  2. So I'm having a problem with FSUIPC in FSX using the Honeycomb Alpha Yoke that I did not have with my previous CH Yoke. When I scan the aileron axis on the assignment tab, I see the full range of raw data as expected. Everything looks right. I then assign it to the Axis Ailerons and go to the Calibration tab. Now on that tab, when I turn the yoke full left or right, the data values top out around +/- 4K instead of going up to the full 16K. I didn't see this with the CH, and indeed, I'm not seeing it with the Alpha in MSFS with FSUIPC. Only in FSX. Seems like there must be something simple but I can't figure out what it is.
  3. Hi - I've searched and I know there are other posts with similar questions - but somehow I'm not quite finding the answer I need. I'm using a computer that has other uses so does not always have controllers plugged in. Depending on where I'm doing FS, I may have just Saitek X52 controllers in use, or I may also have Logitech/Saitek rudder pedals and a CH Yoke. (I'd like to still use the X52 in that situation for the various buttons, and I prefer the X52 throttle). So I might have no controllers plugged in, only X52 or all of them. My questions are for FSUIPC 4/FSX SE - but I also registered FSUIPC 7 for MSFS 2020 - if the answers don't apply for both, perhaps you could note where they differ. I've set up named controllers in the ini file - X for X52, Y for the CH Yoke and R for the pedals. So far so good. My questions: 1) Can I calibrate them separately for same axes? When using the X52 for elevator and aileron, it needs very different calibration than the Yoke. I'm not clear on how I can associate calibration with them independently so FSUIPIC applies that depending on which controller is active or used. The calibration dialog responds to both but it's not obvious to me that it is saving the parameters independently. 2) I did read the user guide - but I'm still not clear on whether I should be assigning axes or not. I was planning to let FS control the axes and just use FSUIPC for calibration - but if it's better to give complete control to FSUIPIC, that's fine - I'm just not clear on where the axis assignment fits into these scenarios. Sometimes it seems I can do the calibration without doing anything in assignment - other times it seems the calibration page won't respond until I do assignment. I really have read the user guide - sorry I'm not getting this. 3) I also have the Saitek profile software for the X52. Theoretically I could assign buttons using that, using FSUIPIC or using FSX/MSFS 2020. For situations where any of them could work, is there an obvious reason to prefer one over the other? FSUIPC of course has AC specific profiles - but I think it doesn't offer the equivalent of scenario-specific profiles that SST does - eg assignments for landing, IFR, etc. Thank you! Michael
  4. Hi - I'm finding that in MSFS 2020 the elevator trim increments are a bit too large - making it hard to get it just right. (I don't have this issue in FSX). I'd like to assign buttons to increase/decrease elevator trim but using a finer increment. I believe this can be done with parameters in some way but I'm a bit unclear just how to do it. There's a lot in the user guide - a pointer to what procedure to focus on would be very helpful. Thanks
  5. I'm not having exactly the same issue - however, it's unclear from the user guide how to do this without having FSUIPC take full control. I also have FSX and FSUIPC 4 - in that case, I had no problem leaving FSX to control the axes but having FSUIPIC do the calibration. But the procedure in FSUIPC 7 is less clear. I found that I had to assign each axis one at a time on the assign tab and then do the calibration - doing it that way seemed to work - although I'm unclear if this is the right way to do it. The guide is very detailed yet I found that some key clarification is needed as to how to do this if you want FSUIPC to have full control vs having FSUIPIC just do the calibration.
