  1. Hi everyone, I have recently installed FSUIPC7. I ran it for the first time the other day (while the sim was already loaded) and it worked without an issue. The following day, I came to load the sim from a clean Windows start-up. I double-clicked on the standard FS icon (not the 'MSFS With FSUIPC' icon) but the sim would not load up. Instead, I got a pop-up asking me if I wanted 'Microsoft Store Package Dependency Installer' to be allowed to run and, upon clicking 'Yes', got an error message which said "The request is not supported"). It almost seemed like the sim was expecting an update to be run, but there was no update there as I was already running the most current version of the sim. FS has worked near faultlessly since launch last August and the only variable which changed between it working and not working was that I had installed and run FSUIPC. I have managed to get around the problem by running MSFS as 'Run As Administrator', but I would still like to get to the bottom of this issue. I posted earlier on the MSFS forum for support and mentioned the above, but then got a ticking off from one of their moderators as I mentioned FSUIPC being the only variable that had changed, and was told in no uncertain terms I must 'uninstall all mods before posting'. I replied that the 'ticking off' I got seemed harsh, as I am not aware FSUIPC actually 'hard' changes anything - I thought FSUIPC merely runs 'soft' alongside FS and in real-time (i.e. if you don't run FSUIPC, then as far as MSFS is concerned it isn't there, therefore I thought the ticking off was irrelevant). To clarify the exact circumstances: When I try to run MSFS normally (without FSUIPC) I get the both of the above errors (both 'Package Dependency Installer' and 'Request not supported' error) When I try to run MSFS as 'Run As Administrator' (without FSUIPC) it loads MSFS normally When I try to run 'MSFS With FSUIPC' app (regardless of whether is it run as 'Run As Administrator' or not, I get only the 'Package Dependency Installer', along with the FSUIPC loading screen, then the sim does not load I'm pretty good with computers though no expert - but my gut feeling is that the issue is nothing to do with FSUIPC (though if that's the case, I'm totally at a loss as to what it is). I assume I am right that installing/running FSUIPC does not add, change or modify anything within the MSFS file structure (as it simply runs alongside in real-time) - perhaps someone can confirm this? Is there any way that FSUIPC could inadvertently change something? Again, my gut feeling is I'm looking in the wrong place and don't believe the cause of the issue is FSUIPC, but I did say to the moderators over at the MSFS forum that I'd double-check here to be sure so I can at least rule it out. Many thanks for your help!
