  1. re limiting the wind, I don't know. For the rest, if the wind changes enough to make you change the active runways you can a) change the active runway selector, and hand off any current arrivals traffic to departure for resequencing , or manually fly them around to the new runway approach. b) for departure aircraft you can re-assign them new departure runway and adjust their taxi path c) for your aircraft at the hold short line, it depends on the airport. As the game will not allow you to issue a taxi instruction down a runway , you may not be able to turn the aircraft around for a new departure point. Some airports have taxiways on both sides of the runway but, some don't. For the ones that don't as far as I know your only option is to delete them. For too high to land, all you can do is allow them to attempt to land and then go around or continually hand back to departure.
  2. Thanks Vic. While understandable, (and I work in aerospace , the business impact of COVID to all aspects of aviation have been great !) it is disappointing to fire up a new DLC only to find there is almost no traffic. ๐Ÿ™‚The attraction at least for me in buying the DLC airports is to buy the 'busy ones' as after awhile playing at 100% the medium and smaller airports aren't really 'hard' enough to stick with and play repeatedly. Hopefully with your plans for TS3 you will include the ability for easy modification/update of schedules and terminal assignments to allow the community the ability to help you keep the content current.
  3. I am not sure where you bought your copy of MSFS2020 from but, mine only cost $69 and comes with support for global real world weather and real world traffic , which is less than the cost of T3DP+ single DLC airport+Real Traffic+Real Colour purchase. You seem to have ended up on your high horse for no reason. The value of the DLC IS poor unless you create a custom schedule for it, that is a view consumers are entitled to have surely? The DLC is not sold for a reduced price to reflect that schedules are based on a time when global air traffic was reduced due to COVID. There is no advertising on the DLC that indicates that schedules provided for the airport will be less than 20% of regular volume and that the only way to fix this will be to fix it yourself. There are hardly any reviews for any of the DLC so the state of the schedules for each one are unknown to a consumer unless you've been following along for years and know when each airport was released. Fortunately, there are people like @EliGrim who have created tools to allow for custom schedules to be developed to fix this gap, which is also a true statement and for which I am thankful as well as to the people who have hand crafted real world schedules per the forum list. Schedules are publicly available from a number of free/open source locations for those who would like to increase the accuracy of operations for an airport. I simply asked the question why the default schedules provided for the DLC airports are so terrible (in terms of volume and accuracy of terminal assignment) to which @crbascott has provided the answer. The schedules were created at a point in time in the middle of the pandemic impacted flight frequency. Given the DLC is still sold at full price updating the schedules once to provide even something roughly 'normal' traffic might be something to be considered. Finally I said it would be good for their next game, in my view, (no request to put it into this game for free at all) to cater much better for real traffic and operations given what MS have now demonstrated is possible in terms of correlating real world traffic and airport operations.
  4. Seconded the comments above, the work done on this tool by Eli is fantastic. It is like playing another game when you run it for airports like KLAX. Whole parts of the airport that are never used at all in either the base game or Real Traffic suddenly have aircraft not to mention fixes to so many terminal assignments. Very much appreciated.
  5. Basically makes buying them pointless unless you make a custom schedule. It was obviously a design decision at the time (simpler schedule , lower cost to make or simply the issue with so many gates spawning full) but, for premium priced DLC (airport + real traffic + real color for airport ) so many of them are a disappointment when it comes to their actual operations. Dallas/Fort Worth 0800-0900 in game 28 movements, IRL 85 movements just looking at today's FlightRadar. At a number of points in the schedule there were no aircraft either arriving or departing from what is supposedly the world's 3rd busiest airport. Don't even start with poor Dubai , it is a total snoozefest to play if you don't create a custom schedule. Massive airport, hundreds of taxiways , no aircraft to use any of it. I knew at least Dubai's default schedule was extremely poor based on the reviews but, expected way better from Dallas based on the fact that Atlanta at least gets busy. Hopefully for T3DP Next Gen you look to add the feature to bring real traffic properly into the game like MS has done with FS2020 or find a way to get the schedules much more in line with real world operations for these airports.
  6. Output_log file attached. Crash as per the common stated problem. If you launch the game with networking enabled the game crashes and exits back to desktop while trying to display the main menu screen. The main screen partially loads and then the game terminates. If you disable your network adapter via Windows system properties, the game launches fine and the network adapter can be renabled. If you return to the main menu through with the network card enabled, the game will crash again. output_log.txt
  7. It seems apparent that the issue lies in the application trying to 'phone home' as EliGrim has posted elsewhere changing your Hosts file can prevent the crash. This however, isn't really an acceptable solution long term as it bypasses Firewall and other protections. What is the reason the application is actually trying to communicate back to FeelThere for ? It isn't like it is updating itself or doing anything with the check especially for those of us using the program via Steam. For the record I fixed my problem by disabling my Ethernet adapter in Network Settings which allows the game to run , Windows 10 , ASUS Z-590 ROG STRIX MB which uses an Intel V220 ethernet chip. Game works perfectly fine , it is just that one IP call it makes on load that is causing the issue. As changing the Host file to prevent it from working at all resolves the issue it seems that the IP call is actually redundant so could be removed anyway as a patch? eg it not working at all has no impact on the game so why is it there in the first place ?
  8. Thanks for that @MJKERR. That info has made EGLL a lot more playable for me. I think when I bought it , I just checked a few YouTube videos and they all were using both runways for T/L and assumed for a busy airport like Heathrow that made sense.
  9. Looks like I have been doing it wrong. I have been using both runways for both arrivals and departures simultaneously. Certainly keeps things being busy. :0
  10. Thanks Eli, perhaps something to do with the gates in the morning or maybe JFK doesn't really have a large morning peak in real life either ๐Ÿ™‚ . I played the 7pm to 9pm block and it was averaging around 53 movements which was better but still on the low side for JFK. Any ideas when the actual busiest time in the schedule is ? JFK is set for 75 per hour in instrument conditions or 85 per hour in peak visual weather as far as I know in real life. Maybe though after playing Atlanta everything else just seems slow or maybe it is that JFK's setup is pretty friendly for moving things around. It seems way easier at JFK to alternate your landings and takeoffs versus Heathrow where the clearance between each arrival seems much tighter.
  11. I am playing KJFK with RT 6v30 @ 100% traffic and am getting around 24-30 total movements per hour between 8-10am at a few points in the hour there is no traffic at all. Just wondering if this is by virtue of RT building a schedule based sometime during COVID when nothing much was flying or if there is another problem as i was expecting something more like 60-80 movements an hour.
  12. I posted in the other thread on this topic as well but, have the same problem where the game (T3DP/Steam, Windows10) will not load if my Ethernet network adapter is enabled. The only way to load the game is to actually disable the network connection via Network & Internet Settings. My motherboard uses an Intel I-V225 chip. This on the surface doesn't appear to make much sense as the Intel driver for this chip hasn't changed in over a year as to why it is now not working. Turning off wi-fi or disabling just Wi-Fi makes no difference game will not load if Ethernet is enabled. There aren't any error messages in the logfile but, game simply won't start.. While you can work around it, having to turn off the internet is assuredly annoying every time you want to launch it. I've reinstalled drivers, reset the application, deleted and reinstalled the game both vanilla and with RT/RC mods again and has not made any difference so out of ideas other than turn stuff off.
  13. Having the same problem playing Tower 3D Pro / Steam version. Windows 10 Game launches , crashes a few seconds later. You get as far as a partial load of the main menu then it crashes. For me the fix has been to disable my Ethernet connection. Motherboard uses an Intel I-225V ethernet controller. If I disable it before I launch the game , game plays fine. Once you've launched an airport you can turn the ethernet card back on but, if you leave your session and quit back to the main menu with the ethernet enabled, instant crash again.
  14. BMTMicro have resolved whatever the issue was at their end and the provided links now work correctly. Issue has been resolved thank you.
  15. I've had a response from BMTMicro confirming that the problem is an ISP issue at their end which they are aware of so hopefully will be resolved sometime during their work day.
