  1. Thanks you for all your work. :) I'm sure you will!!!! Regards Javier
  2. If you go to EGKK and then to SLCB, you will see 3 in ballon and the 6th nearest with previous information. Regards Javier
  3. Thanks Pete for your time. I've done this: - Gone to SLVR (airport with 3 in balloon of nearest) Another strange thing. Today no nearest!! Yesterday, I was able to see 3 nearest. And, as you can see in the log, nothing logged for it. - After SLVR, jump to EGKK. Same as yesterday. Nearest is EGKB. - So I jump to EGKB to see if I can see EGKK, but not. :( - Jump again to SLVR and still no nearest. May not be exactly that. The results varies a lot. You can see that my nearest are not the same as yours, and standing in same airport. Double Ugh! :( :( Log file ********* FSUIPC4, Version 4.588 by Pete Dowson ********* Reading options from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\FSUIPC4.ini" Trying to connect to SimConnect Acc/SP2 Oct07 ... 4. Sorry for this. I'm able to create the log, that includes the information of nearest airport. Log ok. Then I change to another airport with only 3 nearest in the bubble, hoping the new information appears in the log, but it doesn't, so, how can I log that? I run my program thinking that every access to fsuipc will be logged, but it wasn't. This is what I get, putting plane in EGKK, then in SLVR. ********* FSUIPC4, Version 4.588 by Pete Dowson ********* Reading options from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\FSUIPC4.ini" Trying to connect to SimConnect Acc/SP2 Oct07 ... 5. One more thing, In one testing I realize this: In one airport I recive all 6 set of data, then move to another airport and only recive 3 set of data . Number 4 and 5 where just empy, but number 6 had the previous information. My question is: Will it always be empty at least the next set of data when less then 6 nearest airports? Sorry if this is confuse, but english is not my native language. :? Regards Javier.
  6. Hi Pete. I'm testing the new feature about having the nearest 6 airpots. I create a new flight on active rwy at EGKK. I receive this information from fsuipc: Icao1 "EGKB" Dist1 14.4212132 Icao2 "EGLC" Dist2 23.80487 Icao3 "EG58" Dist3 24.4566975 Icao4 "EGVO" Dist4 28.01681 Icao5 "EGTO" Dist5 29.5705547 Icao6 "EGHL" Dist6 30.9714489 As you can see, EGKK is missing, and for sure, that is the closest one. Using the nearest facility included in the GPS in same position, I have: Icao1 "EGKK" Dist1 0.8 Icao2 "EGKR" Dist2 4.9 Icao3 "EGTD" Dist3 12.3 Icao4 "EGKB" Dist4 14.4 Icao5 "EGTF" Dist5 17.8 Icao6 "EGKA" Dist6 18.9 I don't know the criteria you follow to obtain that information. I know it wasn't easy to obtain, and probably this is the best we can have. Or maybe, it's me doing some strange thing :( Regards Javier
  7. Hi Peter, I've been thinking about a way to "know" which is the correct transition altitud, since this is not always the same for all airports, and there is no mathematical formula to calculate it. At first I thought having a table with all Icao's and it's transition altitud. With that and your new implementation, I can know where am I, it will be "easy" to find the correct TA... but too much work :? . I know, this question is not of FSUIPC, but since you work a lot with FS, for sure you know the answer :D . Does FS9 and FSX have the transition altitud information? Or they just use FL180 for all the world? Thanks
  8. Just comming back to say that I found offsets 3364 and 3365, and discover that you aready answer me. Your are too fast  Thanks Regards Javier
  9. I speak to soon. :( All variables recived from FSUIPC are 0 until starting to load the flight. I need to know when it is full loaded. Regards Javier
  10. Hi Pete. Which is the correct way of testing if FSX has loaded a flight? I explain myself. When my program loads, it creates a menu and submenu in the add-on menu, but this can only be done if fsx is in a flight (I mean, not in the opening screen where you select aircraft, location, weather, etc) The way I sorted is : When in opening screen all variables recived from FSUIPC are 0, so what I'm actually doing is If altitude = 0 and Aircraft on ground = 0 --> offset 0366 (0=airborne, 1=on ground) then ' this situation means I'm at 0 ft and flying, because that is not posible, means I'm in Opening screen end if As you can see, I sorted, but will like to know if you have a better way to solve it. Thanks. Regards Javier
  11. Hi Chris. Yes, that is the idea. I created a similar file with Pete's software "MakeRunways". Now that I'm able to know where my plane is, I can know if it is on the runway.
  12. Ok, perfect. I'll mail you, hopefully soon. Regards Javier
  13. Hi Pete, I'm creating an add-on that, maybe, I will put on sale (depends on the impressions of beta testers. At least 2 months before can finish it). Actually I'm a registered user of FSUIPC 3 and 4 both with Widefs. Do I need a commercial version of FSUIPC? I need to contact you or simmarket? Thanks. Javier
  14. :D that is a wonderful notice!!!!. Yes I'm using FSX. Thanks a lot. Regards Javier
  15. Paul: Dim FSLocalizer As Offset(Of SByte) = New FSUIPC.Offset(Of SByte)("ILS", &HC48) gives me: Exception.InnerException: Tried to create an Offset with an invalid type. So, for now, I need to keep the conversion procedure.
  16. Pete, Please do not misunderstand me. I'm not complaining at all. It was just strange (for me) to obtain those results, and as you said it's my misinterpretation. Sorry for the confusion. Paul, Thanks for the advice. Regards Javier
  17. It's not my variable, that is the result of FsInterrogate. I understant that a signed variable of 8 bits goes from -128 to +127. If its in an unsigned variable need to calculate the two-complement. This is equal to take away 256 when value is bigger than 127. Regards Javier
  18. Hi again. Ok, now it's sorted. It works like this. GS: When we are too high 0C49 (GS needle) shows +119. As we get closer to ground, the variable decrements its value. When aligned it becomes 0. After that, if going too low, the value jumps from 0 to 256 (basicly 0 and 256 its just the same) and decrements util +138. This is a two-complement variable. Basicly to have a +119 / -119 we need to: If ValueOf(0C49) > 119 then ValueOf(AuxGSVar) = ValueOf(0C49) - 256 else ValueOf(AuxGSVar) = ValueOf(0C49) Same thing for Localizer, If ValueOf(0C48) > 127 then AuxLocVar = ValueOf(0C49) - 256 else AuxLocVar = ValueOf(0C49)
  19. Ok, thanks. With more testing, things get even worst :? One value received was 243!!! Taking away 256, gives -13 that is actualy the correct value (GS was almost cenered), and is the one FSInterrogate gives in the column Factored. Tommorrow I'll keep testing to find a relation of when add/take away 256. Regards Javier BTW. Do you know is there is a tool similar to F SInterrogate, but to observe all simconnect variables?
  20. Hi Pete. Been playing with Nav variables I got some strange results. Documentation says: Offset: 0C48 size: 1 use: NAV1 Localiser Needle: –127 left to +127 right Offset: 0C49 size: 1 use: NAV1 Glideslope Needle: –127 up to +127 down Using my program to read them, and also FS-Interrogate to contrast results. Situation Near an ILS aproach (NAV1 code flags (0C4D): GS available bit 6 and This is a localiser bit 7 both to true). a) low so GC should be +127 --> I recive +138 (the difference is 11) b) high so GC should be -127 --> I recive -119 (the difference is 11 !!!!) c) Right so Loc should be +127 -> I recive +130 (the difference is 3) d) Left so Loc should be -127 -> I recive -127 (this is correct) I thought that mayby my session had something strange, after restarting the PC, same results. Only me?
  21. ok, I know where that information comes from: the gps gauge, so, probable it is not useful.
  22. I found this http://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?title=GPS_Variables:_How_to_Access&diff=5800&oldid=5799 There is a section Nearest Airport Data that shows NearestAirportCurrentLatitude NearestAirportCurrentLongitude maybe that shows something interesting. Write now I'm not able to "look" at those variables because don't know nothing about simconnect. I will investigate what that page is talking about and let you know if find interesting. Regards Javier
  23. Ok, I understand it. What do you think about this. Searching that big db too frequently will bring a performance issue :?: , so maybe an approach will be, knowing the Icao of your current position. With this, the search in the DB will be very fast. Now, how to get the icao? :? mmmm. Lets think about a default cessna 172. It has a GPS, and there is an option "Nearest" that gives the nearest airports, ndb, dme, etc. Looking at nearest airport, the one with 0nm will be the one I'm in (it is true if I'm in ground an obviously in an airport). With that icao, look for the Latitude and Longitude of Rwys and calculate if the plane is in rwy. The question is: where is that "nearest" information? :?
