  1. Dear Pete, Please accept my sincere apologies for the frustration I caused you and my sincere thanks for the effort to deal with my problem. It turns out that the problem was a corrupt download. It was that simple. To satisfy any further curiosity you may have about my situation, I have included a zipped file containing two screen shots and my current and earlier install log files. One of the screenshots shows the pdf error report, and the other shows my module folder just to prove to you that I had the proper pdf files, even though I couldn't open them. My not remembering accurately what the dialog box actually said. I can only attribute it to late-night delirium. : ) Thanks again for your efforts! Kind Regards, Tom FSUIPC5 files.rar
  2. Hello, I get an error when I try to open any of the pdf documents supplied with FSUIPC5. Acrobat Reader claims that the file type is wrong or damaged. Obviously it would have to be the latter. My next step was to try rerunning the installer, but I get a message the FSUIPC is already installed. Since I could find no reference in the Windows Add/Remove Program utility, I just deleted the Modules folder in P3DV4 and ran C Cleaner. Still no luck; I can't reinstall. I would like to try to download the installer again and see if that takes care of the corruption problem. But first I must clear remnants from the registry, I guess. However, I'm not about to go poking around there with my limited knowledge. Can anyone help, please? Thank you, Tom
  3. Hello, Pete, I have just recently registered v. 3.71 to use in FS9 and am reading the documentation for setting up my joystick controls. So far I seem to have the axes set up and now am progressing to button programing. What I would like to do is to program a button which redefines other button assignments. For instance, let's say I want button 1 on my CH Pro throttle to activate the ACCENT key to bring up the default ATC window when button 3 is held down. When button 3 is released I want button 1 to activate the CTRL ACCENT combination, which will bring up the multi-line display window for Radar Contact(that's how I programed it). Similarly I would like my hat switch to provide view panning when button 3 is released and snap views when it is held down. I was given the idea that this might be possible from a line in the SimMarket ad for your product, namely, that FSUIPC allowed for "Key-press combinations including TAB as an extra shift, for many more assignment possibilities." However, I don't see a reference to this possibility in the user documentation. Did I miss something, or did I misunderstand the line in the advert? Since I know next to nothing about programing and, for instance, find your advanced user guide way over my head, could you perhaps illustrate by example how set up a "shift" key as described above for the two different display windows, assuming of course that it's even possible? I thank you in advance for any effort you can provide me in this. Sincerely, Tom Murphy
