  1. I'm now thinking (in hindsight) that the subject should read something other than FSUIPC 4.0.9..... Thanks again Pete, Martin
  2. Just as I posted my Q, I came across a prior posting that mentioned pulling the add on "Autothumbnail". So I cut the directory "Autothumbnail", reinstalled the FSUIPC4 4.0.9 files, and FSX came up as it should. The windows appeared asking me to verify that I want to run the files and trust Pete Dowson, etc. Then I quit FSX and reinstalled "Autothumbnail", the restarted FSX and the program came up just fine. I checked the "Add Ons" Menu and both FSUIPC4 and Autothumbnail appear to be working just fine. Could it be that for the time being I will need to uninstall all add ons to accommodate another? Well, thank you again for an invaluable - and working - add on for the FS Community :D Martin
  3. On March 29 I purchased FSUIPC4 and installed it. As my FSX application opened I noted a window popped up asking if I wanted to run the application or not, I clicked on "Run This" or something to that effect. I entered FSX, found FSUIPC4, registered, etc. and all seemed fine. Last night I downloaded v4.0.9 and installed it over the prior FSUIPC4. When I started FSX the blue "Microsoft Flight Simulator X" screen appears but then and only briefly a smaller window comes up - something with buttons to "Run" or "Don't Run" - it flashes for a fraction of a second, then disappears. And then the FSX program quits. All this taking only a few seconds to go through a complete cycle. I do not seem to be fast or coordinated enough to click on the "Run" button when the window pops up - though I've tried. Then of course, it might be that even if I hit "Run" in time, the FSUIPC4 might be causing the crash. If I pull all the FSUIPC4 files out of the FSX Modules directory, then FSX loads fine, just as it did with the prior version of the FSUIPC. I could not find the prior version to revert to on line. I just had this PC built so that I could play FSX (XP Pro, several Intel Core2 Xeon Quad / Extreme CPU's with 8mb Cache - 16 processors, with two 1 Gig Nvidia Graphics Cards, 4 GB of DDR2 SDRAM 667 MHz Ram, etc,.), or I may be doing something wrong. Please advise.
