Hi Volker and Eric,
On Windows XP and I think Vista, the files go to the correct folders but the exception is Windows 7, where the Level D and PMDG Flight Plans are saved in
C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG\FLIGHTPLANS. I tried various options but it always copies it there. When I copy the RTE files for Level D and PMDG in its respectable locations, then the FMS reads them well. I just have to remember to copy or move the files once I create the flight plan using FSC.
If the software can be updated to save it to the correct location if Windows 7 is installed that will be great.
Thank you once again Eric for the reply.

FSX Version: 9.1
FSUIPC Version: 4.00 with latest update
FSC Version: 8.5
Download from Simmarket
OS: Windows 7 x64
Hi Everyone,
I have been trying to find a solution to why non of my flightplans show up on the PMDG J41 FMS. I have followed the instructions and installed FSC as administrator, but non of the files are showing up.
After searching for my files, I found them in C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Level-D Simulations\navdata\Flightplans and not in it right folder Flight Sim x/PMDG/Flightplans. Even after copying the files to the PMDG Flightplan folder, they still do not show up. Only 8 flight plans (default plans) show up and non of the one I copied to the PMDG Flight plan folder.
Any help would be great.

Hi Gihan,
which flightplan format is the ac Flight 1 Super80 Pro are using?
Regards,
Volker
Hi Volker,
Super80 reads flight plans file in its FSX native format and not in FS9 format. To get the file to read in Super80, I have to create it using FSC, which I love :-), and then save it, then open it in FSX, and save it again with a new file name. If you do this, it works fine as it reads the XML format of FSX, but will not work if I try to load the FSC PLN directly without the convention using FSX in between. Any idea if you can have a option to save flight plans in the native FSX XML format?
I will post the two files for your comparison later today.

Hi guys,
According to the file types, the FSC 8.4 version only saves the file as a FS9 compatible file and if you look at the file code from FSX, the file is saved as a XML format. Is there a way to make the flight plane save as the native FSX format instead of FS9 format. I will post the file code today when i get home.

I tried what you said and still it does not load.
I am going to open a new flight plan and save it and see if it opens in Super80 Pro.
Also, I am going to see if the FSX PLN file is different than the FSC version.

It is using the XML version or .PLN file. If I make up a plan using FS Commender and save the file to the FSC folder, I have pointed to Super80 Pro to look for this folder on start up, I can only bring up files created from FSX and not FSC 8.4. I have tried to make a flight plan in FSX and named it ATLMCO.PLN, the file is loaded to the FMC, but I can not load FSC PLN files. It is only happening to the Super80 Pro version and not any other add-on. Any other Add-on reads the PPLN files created from FSC 8.4.

I have been using FlightSim Commander for some time now and new had a problem with importing flight plans. But after purchasing Flight 1 Super80 Pro, I can not import any PLN files to my FMC. I have change the location of the path to find the correct folder but still nothing. If I create a flight plan using FSX, it loads fine, but not the same for flight plans created using FSC.
Any help would help me figure out what is going on.

FSC, PMDG J41 and Windows 7

Hello Volker,
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question.
These are the folder in my PC.
First of all, FSX was installed in the path C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\
FSC was installed in the path C:\Program Files (x86)\FSC\
And all files such as RTE for Level D and PMDG was saved in this path C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Level-D Simulations\navdata\Flightplans by default by when I saved my flightsplans. The PLN files were saved in this folder C:\Users\User\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files and other files were saved in the path C:\Program Files (x86)\FSC\.
I must stay that the version I have installed on the Game PC is Windows 7 Enterprise x64. I wonder if this has anything to do with the folder locations FSC is trying to save the RTE files?
This is a very interesting article I came across while searching for Windows 7 and Virtual Store folder.

Even though it was the Vista version they were talking about, this is repeating in Windows 7 as well. The first time I installed FSC, I did not follow your recommendation, since it was Windows 7, to install with the option Run as Administrator, then after this I removed it and then ran it as Administrator.
