Thanks but I just re installed FSC96 full and running   FSCP3DCFG_V2 from my P3DV2.5 folder now is OK so I will continue with creating the data base;)

I am running FSCP3DCFG_V2 from my P3DV2.5 folder but the ok button is greyed out so that I cannot run the Database Manager on my client.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have just installed PHLI from DreamTeam and although I can use the ILS without problems it is not shown on the FSC Map even though it is shown at other airports where there is one.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes I have the addon scenery for PF 20 and 21 so I am pleased that I will eventually be able to see them in FSC. My problem seems to be with file sharing and security of the program files(86) folder. Although I am able to share the C drive of my server over my home network (same workgroup) it seems to exclude the program files, program files(86), and program data folders. I have tried everything but to be honest I do not really understand this security business, but I will now keep trying as you have confirmed that FSC will recognise them once I can resolve this sharing/ security problem. However the next time I will install everything anew I will install FSC in the root directory and not in the Program files folder:-)

I think that I have found my problem as I have mounted the folder where the flight sim is located and not the drive. However allowing shared access to my C drive over my network is proving very difficult but there must be a way:-)

I love using FSCP3D 9.3_HF1 especially with Google earth on a network PC but cannot seem to get FSCP3D to recognise PF20 and PF21 which are fictional airports in Alaska. They appear on the P3D map but are not shown in FSC. I have run MakeRwys and FSCP3DCFG on my server and FSC Database Manager on my client, but the airports are still not recognised by FSC P3D although I can use them in P3D. Can anyone please help me to resolve this.

Thanks for the advice, I have been playing around with this for hours trying to get Google earth to work with fscommander and just read your post. Surely this needs to be fixed or at least the work around spelt out in the manual! Thanks again as its now working for me.

Seems as if you are running FSC on a separate PC to FSX. Have you tried FSWIdgets GMAP it is excellent and best of all free.

Thanks for the clarification. However I must say that I am not very happy about having to pay twice for WideFS keys i.e once to access FSX and a second to access FS9. With all my other software for scenery, aircraft, fscommander, etc I have only paid once and been able to download both the fsx and fs9 versions. In fact if I now buy a WideFS key for FS9 then the total cost for the 2 keys (for FS9 and FSX) will have cost a lot more than than FSCommander itself, surely this is not fair.

I appreciate that you are trying to help me but i must admit I am still confused!

You said "If you want to run any software over a network with FSUIPC3 and FS04, you will need to register FSUIPC 3 and WideFS 6 by purchasing keys." This answer to me seems to say that I have to purchase 2 keys, one for FSUIPC and one for WideFS6. Is this correct as you then go on to say "You need to purchase another key because FSUIPC 3 and FSUIPC 4 are different pieces of software for different versions of FS." Do you mean another key (singular) or 2 keys ?

Thanks for the reply. However I did not purchase FSUIP4 to run FSCommander only the network access key for WideFS. I am therefore assumming that I do not need to purchase FSUIP3! Is this correct? Also as I have already purchased a network access key for EUR 28.56 and I do not see why I have to purchase another one. All my add-ons work on both FSX and FS9 without having to purchase them twice!

I have been using FSCommander on my laptop and FSX on my desktop for some 6 months using a WideFS7 access key. I have now installed fs9 together with my fs9 version add-ons on the desktop. On reading the documentation it implies that I have to purchase an additional WideFS6 access key to run FSCommander on my laptop to link it with FS9 on the desktop. Is this correct as I was assuming that that one key was all that I needed.

I purchased the key today for FSCommander and just wanted to say that everything seems to be working fine. I have FSCommander working remotely to my fsx via widefs and GMAP working on a second remote pc/monitor via its own simconnect configuration. I now have an awesome fsx system.

I just purchased WideFS today and I want to let anyone, who is interested, know that I am now running FSCommander demo on my Laptop under XP with a wireless connection to my router with FSX running on a desktop under Vista 32 bit. No frame rate hit and I can run FSX in full screen; fantastic setup. I will upgrade to the full version of FSCommander tomorrow.

I am looking to purchase the above but would like confirmation that there little frame rate hit on fsx when running in this networking mode. I will have fscommander on my laptop under XP and FSX on my desktop, in full screen mode under Vista.

I am asking this question as there is a massive frame rate hit currently on my fsx vista pc even when I run fsx on its own in windows mode!
