Everything works. I mistook the fact that it was FSUIPC that recognized the buttons not FSX. Thanks again for the help. Regards, Chris505 -

Addendum: I found in options/settings/controls an "enable controllers" box which I unchecked. It disable the axis but the buttons/keys page still works. Do I have to remove assignments from that page myself or is the another way to disable all of them at once: chris505 -
Hi Peter: On page 38 of the user's guide you say: ". . . best way forward is to disable FS's joystick facilities altogether, then program all buttons and axes in FSUIPC4". My question is how do I go about disabling them altogether?. Thank you, Chris505
