Thanks! How do I remove those assignments? They are making the hat switch work on the yoke. It is showing up as #2 as well--right? Is there a way to plug in all 3 controllers, check "YES" to assign a name and then just wipe all three clean of any programming? I would like to start over with all! Steve

I have looked at every assignment inside FS. They are blank! And I have joysticks "disabled" inside FS as well. Doesn't that completely bypass the controllers anyway? If nothing is assigned, is there anything else that could be causing this?

I narrowed it down to a conflict with the rudder pedals. As soon as I plugged them in, the view started to pan upwards. I can see "Pan Up" in Log below, but I cannot find the conflict in FSUIPC. As a test, I pulled the Rudder Pedals and Throttle Q out of the system. The yoke now works fine. What would cause the view to spin up and over only when they are plugged in?

I'll run the log, thanks! I did get it to work briefly after a restart but at that time the Rudder Pedals and Throttle were not showing up in the system. I pulled the USB and when they came back on, the view was off again! This could be a USB hub going bad or--like you said---something wrong with the Yoke itself. It is old....

I just don't know why it would have changed. It was working. When I go into the virtual cockpit, the view is "spinning" upward in a continuing circle. It's like the "up" button is being held. I honestly don't know where to even check to see what is causing that! I removed all joystick commands from the yoke inside the game. I also have unchecked all the button assignments in FSUIPC. It's still doing it! In the 2D cockpit, the view just stays pointed to the ceiling. I can go into "view options" and select "forward view" and it will pop forward and then immediately back to the "forward/up" setting. Thanks for the help! This is frustrating!

This is strange. I can't get a forward view. In the 2D cockpit, I'm looking at the ceiling. I've tried view options, checked FSUIPC to make sure my calibration is correct. Nothing! When I am in spot view, I can't pan either. It will move around but then when I stop it goes all the way up again. What have I missed?

"Use the SimMarket order page for FSUIPC3." Sorry Pete--I may be dense this morning but I don't understand this. When I go to the page via FSUIPC, I am entering my v4 key and it will not accept it. Is this what you are saying to do? Steve

Peter, I have a registration key that I purchased on invoice #449574 for FSUIPC v4 and WideFs. I cannot get FSX to work properly so I am going back to FS2004. How do I "downgrade" and use my purchased key to activate a previous version? Also, is WideFS v6.78 the same for FSX and FS2004? I have WideClient already installed and activated on my other computer that runs my avionics. Please inform, Steve

I had them working perfectly before---just like I wanted. Idle to full above the detent, reverse below. And yes, I have read everything you mentioned several times. When I place the lever on the detent and press "set", it is filling in the far back position that was set first as "reverse". I then move slightly to the rear of the detent and press "set" again. It then fills in the full reverse number again. I love your product and appreciate all the help you give. However, some of your posts take on a slightly condescending tone. As I read through them all I can almost hear the "that's a stupid question" coming from the screen. I apologize if I am reading you wrong but take a step back and look at your posts. I think you'll agree that they are a little harsh sometimes.

I replaced my computer today and I am trying to assign my CHTQ in FSUIPC. I have the registered version. I know that I am doing it correctly. I have assigned the levers with no issue. When I go to joystick calibration, it will not set any value other than the value set for full reverse in the two idle fields. I set the reverse all the way back beyond the detent. I then set the max by pushing full forward. I put back to the detent and hit "set" and it fills in the full reverse number. Pulling back slightly and hitting set again also puts in the same number. Here's a screen shot. Note: I only use FSUIPC for the CHTQ. I have CHCM in direct mode. I prefer to use it for the pedals and yoke. If I select "disable" in FSX, I lose my GoFlight module functionality and I like to use GHFConfig for them. Help!

Does this mean that my axis assignments and calibration WILL NOT be affected? Or will I need to do them again?

Everything seems to be working. I am trying to keep this as simple as possible for my son (OK, and me!). The only joystick that is controlled by FSUIPC is the CH Throttle and it is working fine now. Question: have you seen any issues with Wilco's E-Jets add-on? When we installed it, I lost the "add-ons" menu in FSX completely. No more FSUIPS at all! I unistalled E-Jets and reinstalled FSUIPC and it came back.

We did make some changes since this first post. I am using CHCM/FSX in direct mode for assignment and calibration of the yoke and pedals. I am using FSUIPC for the Throttle Quadrant. I'm using the GFConfig for the GoFlight modules. This seems to be working. However, when we rebooted last night, all the settings were GONE. I had to make everything again. I hope that doesn't happen again! Is there a way to prevent that? I did make backups of the fsuipc.ini, standard.xml and fsx.cfg files. I can replace them if it is back to default. The GoFlight RP48 does not work with the PMDG 747 or Level-D 767 and that is disappointing. Any help with that would be appreciated.

My son is flying FSX. We have a fully licensed version of FSUIPC. We're having some issues! We want to program ONLY the CH Yoke, Pedals and Throttle Quad in FSUIPC. We want to use the GoFlight Config Software for the GoFLight Modules. We want to still have access to all the FSX keyboard commands. Is this possible? Currently we have turned off "enable joysticks" in FSX. The Yoke, Pedals and THQ are working fine. Even after programming the GF modules (RP48 and GF-LGT) in FSUIPC and running the GFDisplay, the GoFlight modules don't show the lights and the landing gear only work one direction. When programmed with the GF Config, they all worked perfectly. Finally, we can no longer use some keyboard controls such as pressing the space bar and moving the mouse to look around. We still need that until we can get more modules to eliminate the keyboard completely. I know that I am doing something wrong and I appreciate any help you can give. Please keep it simple! The FS is my son's and I am just trying to get it set-up correctly for him. We use the Ellie Systems avionics package via WideClient. All other modules are on the FSX computer.
