Pete, Thanks for responding. The allocations were for the Hat switch on my X52 joystick. I seem to have resolved the issue now, The issue may have been that I, unknowingly at the time, had a FS9.exe process which had not closed down correctly still running in task manager, as well as the new instance I was accessing. I presume that this may have caused an issue? Any way I restored an earlier version of the .ini file, rebooted and all appears well. I feel I must apologise as my post appears to have been a little premature. I suppose I got so confused about what was happening that I forgot the basics of fault finding. Sorry to waste your time. Sorry, updated to 3965 and this appears to have stopped the issue, however I now appear to have lost some of my joystick button allocations, even though I think I can see them in the ini file.

Hi, I have started experiencing a problem which manifests itself as losing all input from attached devices through FSUIPC, i.e. joysticks, youke, rudder pedals, throttle, go-flight etc. I am running FS9.1 with FSUIPC v3.9.6.0, on Windows 7 64-bit OS. Joystick is disabled within FS9 I run FS9 and everything works fine, and then, for example, I open up FSUIPC to set a button configuration and then after I close that screen I start losing functionality. Last time I Iost aileron and elevator control on my joystick, but could still use the hat switch, but shortly after that the hat switch stopped working. When I go back into FSUIPC it does not recognise any button presses, or axis movement. I've tried different aircraft, but it doesn't seem to be aircraft specific. I've only just started having this problem and it seems to only occur after I have opened FSUIPC from the Modules folder, if I leave it alone it appears to be ok, (can't be exact on that as i haven't exhausted the possibility of a conincedence occuring on this). If anyone has any ideas what this is, and how to prevent it I will be very grateful. Regards, Ian
