Hi Volker
I must be doing something silly, because I can't do MENU-> Window -> Options -> Display and then Disable Reset Map / GPS / NavData window position, because The FSC menu is not visible to me at any time. The window is far away from onset and I cannot change anything.
Meanwhile I edited FSC.ini and changed REMWINPOS=1 and REMGPSWINPOS=1 to zeroes. This did not work either. FSC forces REMWINPOS=1upon exit.

Dear Volker
I have just uninstalled FSC 9.x and installed in full the current FSC version 10.6.
Apologies for asking again but I could not find in the docs and forum the answer to this old question. "How to reset FSC so that I see the map and data windows?" those seem to open far out of either main or second monitor. Here are the settings I have in FSC.ini
WINX=32550
WINY=150
REMWINPOS=1
REMGPSWINPOS=1
GPSWINX=-4140
GPSWINY=225
NAVDATAWINX=-4290
NAVDATAWINY=3060I have forced zeroes in WINX and WINY also I reset NAVDATAWINX and NAVDATAWINY. Looks like didn't work. Always I open FSC as admin
- I have FSC version 10.6
- Win 10 64 bits
- FSX-SE
- FSUIPC4

Hello
I get "403 Forbidden" message when attempting to downlod the information on the latest update of FS Commander. This happens in my 2 different PC's. One Laptop and one Desktop.
I would appreciate help on solving this for FSC from this forum
I use Windows 10 64 bits,FSX-Steam Edition and am currently using OK in the laptop FS Commander version 9.6 Rev 7

I agree that FSC has been and still is a unique and very useful product for the flight simulation enthusiast. It would be fantastic if theproduct can be supported going forward into the P3Dv4 and beyond platform.
Some of the key differentiating and important features (as a flight planning and moving map aid during flight)are:
(1) Performance, (2) Reliability; (3) Usability
Other apps like the little moving map and aivlasoft EFB are quite different and do not meet the expectations on the three points above set as a high-bar by FSC. Instead of being a high performance map (like a radar screen for an ATC) those other apps fill the screen with contact information instead of core (visual) information and lack the performance and usability of OFC

I talked with Francisco.
He had a few wrong entries in P3D's scenery setup. Those were pointing inside the scenery folder for each airport and should have been pointing one level higher.
No issue with Make Runways - All is OK....

Hello Pete
Thanks for the wonderful work you do for the Fsim community
Which of your apps should I use to obtain a dump in this format from my particular FSX-SE installation?

Hopefully Pete has the opportunity to look at this when he gets back from holidays

Peter: What is that worked for you?
Thomas: Thanks for your patience. I have loaded P3D, selected the default scenario with a default (mooney) airplane and saved it as default. Problem persists.

Hi, here is the content of FSUIPC4 Log file during the full cycle of crash-fix-load:
I loaded P3d selecting a default Aircraft, and after a minute or so I closed P3D. After the Icon disappeared I noticed in Win Task manager that the P3D process was still running, and after a few more minutes it stopped on its own with a little window (crash or error) message.
This is the FSUIPC4 log right at that moment : P3D closed with default plane and reported a bad exit:

Thank you for the advice.
I found the instances you refer to for the .WX files and for the wxstationlist.bin file which I deleted. I also added the line "NoWeatherAtAll=Yes" to the FSUIPC.ini file.
I did that having P3D open. I then closed it , opened it again and It loaded OK. I hope this stays like this and I can close/open P3D at my will without having the crashes.
===> Update: Yet P3D crashed again. The fix worked for 1 time only. After crash I checked the FSUIPC.ini file still with the new line, and the wxstationlist.bin back where it was before, as well as 1 .wx file (the previous file one).
Another observation: having deleted the .bin and .wx files did not get P3D back to be able to start. Really the only way I get P3D back to start is by re-running the Install FSUIPC4.exe (it finds the installation and I tell him to use existing registration. So it really doesn't seem to install anything, but perhaps cleans up or re-initiate something that makes P3D to load OK the next time I rune it.... I can use P3D OK ...but P3D still reports an error when closing and goes back to not load, and the cycle starts again).
By the way, can you tell me if having added the line to the FSUIPC.ini file will prevent using my external weather engine = AS2016?
Thanks and regards

Hello, I use W10, P3D version 3.4.14.and FSUIPC Version 4.95
I am having crash when trying to load P3Dv3.4, and I get a windows crash report that lists the fault module name as FSUIPC4.dll.
I was asked to ask here in the FSUIPC support forum for help.
Thanks in advance
regards

Volker,
Once again thank you for your responses.
I have done that and I am happy to report that my FS Commander installation is running 100% as expected with all of my content restored.
Best regards
Alvaro Escorcia.

Thank you very much Volker; I really appreciate your dedication to fix my issue!.
Your solution worked!
I have 1 question, in what file or directory will I find quite a few VFR Waypoints I had uploaded into FS Commander and also other that I entered by hand?
I should have them because I saved everything I had in the FSC directory before I blanked it out.

Volker,
I started the process to fix this as per your instructions by email.
I ran uninstall from windows control panel, but that did not remove FSC. It's still in the E\ directory and if I run it it still runs (bad) as before
Can you recommend a process to uninstall and cleanup all remains of FSC in Windows 7 before I proceed to install from scratch?
regards
Alvaro Escorcia

Volker,
You are correct - I had missed one character in the e-mail address.
I fixed this, re-sent and I hope you have received it now.

Alvaro Escorcia.

Thanks - I have sent it.

Hi Volker
Thank you very much for the quick response.
I have run FSc as admin, just as you indicated, but I still have the same problem. I can not see the FSC window running.... the only thing I see about FSC running is in the windows task manager; I see under processes Fsc.exe *32 and that's all. I don't even see it under applications running.

Volker
Thank you for the info.
I installed last night the upgrade to the current version 9.6 rev1 hoping this fixed my problem, with no luck.
My problem now is that I can not see FSC running, although I think is running because I see a "process" running in the Windows-7 task-manager but ... I still can't see the FSC itself in neither of my 2 monitors. This is probably beyond the window on top.
I would very much appreciate some help before I try to uninstall and re-install everything in FSC. I would not like loosing the setup I had and also loosing way-points I had created.
By the way, I always make an effort to read instructions and the forum but this time I am at a loss
Thanks for your understanding
Regards
