  9. Hi, here is the content of FSUIPC4 Log file during the full cycle of crash-fix-load: I loaded P3d selecting a default Aircraft, and after a minute or so I closed P3D. After the Icon disappeared I noticed in Win Task manager that the P3D process was still running, and after a few more minutes it stopped on its own with a little window (crash or error) message. 11. Thomas Thank you for the advice. I found the instances you refer to for the .WX files and for the wxstationlist.bin file which I deleted. I also added the line "NoWeatherAtAll=Yes" to the FSUIPC.ini file. I did that having P3D open. I then closed it , opened it again and It loaded OK. I hope this stays like this and I can close/open P3D at my will without having the crashes. ===> Update: Yet P3D crashed again. The fix worked for 1 time only. After crash I checked the FSUIPC.ini file still with the new line, and the wxstationlist.bin back where it was before, as well as 1 .wx file (the previous file one). Another observation: having deleted the .bin and .wx files did not get P3D back to be able to start. Really the only way I get P3D back to start is by re-running the Install FSUIPC4.exe (it finds the installation and I tell him to use existing registration. So it really doesn't seem to install anything, but perhaps cleans up or re-initiate something that makes P3D to load OK the next time I rune it.... I can use P3D OK ...but P3D still reports an error when closing and goes back to not load, and the cycle starts again). By the way, can you tell me if having added the line to the FSUIPC.ini file will prevent using my external weather engine = AS2016? Thanks and regards Alvaro Escorcia
  12. Hello, I use W10, P3D version 3.4.14.and FSUIPC Version 4.95 I am having crash when trying to load P3Dv3.4, and I get a windows crash report that lists the fault module name as FSUIPC4.dll. I was asked to ask here in the FSUIPC support forum for help. 13. Thanks a lot for the prompt reply. The WORK-GROUP name in the MAIN PC had a hypen that was not included in the WORKGROUP name in the SECOND PC. So I edited that one. Also I went ahead and followed the recomendation in the instructions and edited the [Config] section of the WideClient.ini file (SECOND PC) with: ServerName=AE-ABAJO-PC (Name of my MAIN PC) Protocol=TCP This fixed my problem. Lesson learnt: Pay attention to hypens Also, interestingly, as far as moving files, mapping drives, etc, I did not notice anything wrong with the workgropu setting. maybe for those tasks windows is less strict when the difference is a hypen. Who knows...
  14. Yes, I used the same numbers on the fixed DNS IP address on both PC's (FSX and Laptop)

  16. I tried using as primary DNS address 8.8.8.8 and alternate 8.8.4.4 (I think those are Google's DNS) and now I can browse the web on both PC's....
  17. I would appreciate help with my (similar) case. I use Win7-64k in my desktop and also on my laptop and have both connected to the same home router. Once I set static IP addresses on my Desktop and my Laptop I can't navigate the web with the browser, I believe because I am not setting correctly the DNS fixed addresses (preferred and alternate) The DNS setup I have had until now as shown by IPCONFIG on both PCs is hsd1.tx.comcast.net and I can't figure out how to translate this into an address that fits the format of the 4 hexadecimal boxes required when I try to set IPv4 with a fix DNS address. :-). Ideas?
  18. Hello As orther simmers, I want to install on a SECOND PC (Laptop Win7-64k) as many of the external apps I have been using on my MAIN desktop (Win7-64k), where I have been using FSUIPC4 (registerd) successfully. One of those apps is FSCommander. (Others are IvAp 2.0, Teamspeak, and Active Sky 2012 (although I believe those do not use FSUIPC)) Having read the FSUIPC4 and WIDEFS install instructions, it appears I succeeded installing and registering WIDEFS in the SECOND PC as well as making the change in the MAIN PC (running Install again, entering the 2 keys, etc. I also disabled the Win7 firewall on the 2 PC's, and I set the 2 clocks on sync on the 2 PC's and set the home network so that both C:\ drives of the PC's are shared (read write etc) and mapped for access from each other PC. My issue is that I am not sure my installation is working OK. Please tell me if my symptoms are normal before I continue with the FSCommander installation in the SECOND PC, which having read the instructions seems rather complicated. My installation does the following: I first launch FSX on the MAIN PC, then I launch WideClient.exe from the desktop shortcut in the SECOND PC. The indications I see are the message on the frame of the window of WideClient FS98 Eliminator - Waiting for a connection on the SECOND PC, and the message WideServer: waiting for clients on the FSX window on the MAIN PC. And nothing else happens. I expected to see some indication that FSX and WideServer are talking..... Thanks in advance..
  19. You are right. I Had an old FSUIPC install package that I once downloaded but never got to do it. I downloaded a current on and the installed worked OK. Now it says its FSUIPC 4.90 dated 5th of May 2013. Thank you very much
  20. I have problems installing the latest FSUIPC4 and FSWIDE which I purchased today (I had FSUIPC 4.8.53 already installed) My problem is that the installer gives me a message saying "version ls later and is not over written". What do I have to do to get the Installer to work? This is what I did: I first obtaied new keys after I paid. Then when I ran the FSUIPC.EXE I got this.... Installer for FSUIPC4.DLL version 4.60a Looking in registry for FSX install path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0 Parameter"SetupPath" ... >>> OK!
