Pete, You are the Man! I doubt the space was intentional, I probably just "fat fingered" it on accident. It most likely occurred when I went back in to trap a few controls I missed in my first attempt to capture the aircraft's panel controls? After this post brought all of those ERJ entries to lite I went back and deleted them and pulled my macro files out into a folder on my desktop and reloaded FSX. This indeed solved the problem too but not knowing which Macro file was causing the problem would have meant creating them again from scratch or testing each until I found the culprit.; either way I probably would have never known why or how it occurred. You not only saved me A LOT of time I am glad that you were able to apply the cure to all in your update so that nobody else has to go through this...Excellent! THANK YOU! Robert

I just sent you all the Macro Files I have in my Module folder. I can't explain the runaway ERJ entry but perhaps it holds a clue as this was the aircraft I was using when I first noticed the problem. They released a service pack update and afterward my macros did not seem to work. I created a new macro at that point but it would only last until I rebooted. Later the "ERJ" subtitle disappeared from the list of values when trying to assign a command to a switch; shortly followed by the "Maddog" I couldn't understand what was happening so I contacted you. The same goes for some of my other add ons as well but then again some do show like all of the B377 macros I created for the A2A B377 Stratocruiser. Thanks for taking the time to look at this for me. Yes, this is what is happening. I created a macro name say ERJ145 and then "Mousetrap" a switch on the overhead panel, test it using the tab key and name it such as logo light and hit enter. I can close out of the mouse trapping section, or even close fsx altogether. I'll then go to my Modules folder and sure enough ERJ145.mcr will be present. I can even open it in notepad and it'll show me the logo light sw offsets I just trapped. However if I go back into FSX and open FSUPIC from the alt drop down menu and attempt to assign that logo light switch command to a toggle switch I cant assign it because the ERJ145 macro does not show in the drop down list of values? I am using 4.661 Any other ideas? Maybe I should do a complete uninstall re-install but I'm really trying to avoid having to recreate all my macro files and yet if there is some sort of corruption happening here I don't think I want to trust saving them. I have been building and working on my own home cockpit for several years now and all of it started after purchasing your program which has at times been frustrating but overall quite a rewarding experience.

Pete, I'm suffering from an unusual problem and I can't seem to figure out what is going on on my own. My FSUPIC installation had been working flawlessly for over a couple of years now but recently I have been suffering from the following issues. The thing that is really perplexing is that I have not installed any new software or made changes to my FSX install that I can look to and ask, "What changed?" while attempting to troubleshoot it on my own. What happened is I loaded up one of my favorite payware planes and went to use it but none of the switches I had previously programed were working on my hardware (Go flight and homemade switch panels using a Bonard I/O card as well as kitbashed usb joystick parts). I opened FSUPIC from the drop down toolbar inside FSX and sure enough none of the switches I had assigned were present. I reloaded them all and they worked until for that flight or until I rebooted my machine and then they were unassigned again? I switched to another payware plane and the same thing occurred. I then closed FSX and went to the Modules folder and confirmed the macro files were present, they were. Later I went back and tried to re-assign the buttons again, none of the commands I had previously recorded in the macro were even present in the drop down list of values while trying to assign them to a switch? Even though the Macro is in the modules folder. As a test I created a new mouse trap macro on a plane I new accepted them. I named the macro something totally different and trapped one switch. I exited out of the mousetrapping routine and tried to assign that command to a switch, however, the macro name I had just created was not in the list of drop down values available? I exited out of FSX opened the Modules folder and sure enough that macro name was present with the one switch I trapped present? I'm baffled do you have any suggestions? Thanks, Robert

Hello, I have configured my Windows7 home network and installed WideFS in order to run my various applications on the client machine. I believe I have done this correctly. I start Wideclient on my Client machine and then I start up my various programs on the client such as Flight sim Commander. I then start FSX on my server/main fsx machine and after a minute or two the Client machine window changes from waiting for a connection to conection established. I can confirm this by going into FSC and connecting the GPS and it shows my aircraft displayed correctly in the location I have chosen when I start FSX on the server. So with that said I believe I have everything set up correctly however I can't seem to be able to get Active Sky Evolution or Squakbox4 to connect in the same way. Should I be able too? I think both of those programs connect to FSX via Sim Connect and I have been following the directions on ASE to configure accordingly but should I have too? Should WideFS be able to run these as well without going through and setting up the FSX SDK parameters? I'm a little confused? Thanks, Robert
