  1. Hi! The solution is simple (kind of...). Install the CH manager from CH products, and use the CMS scripting possibilities. (See the http://www.ch-hangar.com for file downloads and scripting help). I dont think there is a parameter though that can autoswitch this option, but you can easily assign a switch that physically switch the aileron axis into the rudder axis. I use this option with the Majestic Dash 8. Setting the Control lock ON, switches the Nosewheel steering to the aileron axis, leaves my rudder pedal inactive, and also locks the elevator axis in forward position (like it works in the real aircraft) An other example I just must write is my setup with 2 CH yokes, 2 CH pro pedals and 1 CH throttle Quadrant. I have all connected to one computer, running FS with WideView (panels on 3 LCDs) and outside view on a projector. I have assigned on button on the CH throttle Quadrant to physically switch between the two sets of yoke and pedals. :) All this done within simple scripting in CH manager. Freddy
  2. Thx a lot Pete!. Now its clearer for me :). You see my goal is somewhat complicated to explain here, hence my questions beeing somewhat diffuse. Guess from this point, I have to experiment some to see if I am successful. Rgd the IP, i am thinking of trying to connect Wideclient to a server via internet, hence the IP question.. Rgds Freddy.
  3. Hi Pete! Sorry for my appearant "ignorance", this was not the intention. :). I recon the "classname" in wideclient.ini is described in the docs for widefs. I will take a look later today. One more thing that I forgot to ask. Must Wideserver.dll reside in both FS2004 computers (modules folder) ?. In the INI running on the computer 2, i must put the IP for computer one to be able to connect, right ?.. Ok.. I will try this afternoon to se what the result are. Hopefully a tap on my joystick button will produse a result on both FS2004 sessions, and hopefully a tap on the second computers joystick button will do the exact same thing.. Thanx a lot Pete! Freddy
  4. Ok... let me describe my "thought" scenario. Two computers, both running FS2004 with latest FUIPC registered version installed. On computer 1 I have an aircraft addon that supports epic offsets for all switches etc in the panel. All buttons and swithces are programmed to work using FSUIPC. I want to "trick" the WideFs to send a FSUIPC offset to computer nr 2. Result wanted: pressing a epic programet button for e.g. gear, will produce a result on gear beeing retracted on both FS2004 sessions (computers). Is this achievable in any circumstanses ? Also studied teh FS communicator... maybe this tool will help me.. ? Rgds Freddy Wilhelmsen
  5. Rgd "Devices.cfg": When you start FS2004, it looks in the devices.cfg to see if your joystick is "known" and predefined here. In addition it takes your modified axis and buttons in the FS9.cfg. If you joystick is unknown, FS still applies a generic assignement to your joystick. One thing to try out, is to delete all joystick assignements in FS9.cfg, and totally empty the devices.cfg (just leaving a empty document), too see if FS still maps some axis on your devices. The axis assignement in FSUIPC is great news for those not using CH products. As you easily can add aircraft spesific assignements. If you are using CH products i recommend using the CH manager v4.0 along with CMFS.exe. (read the CMFS documentation to learn what this is about) Freddy
  6. Hi! Using CH Control Manager 4.0 ( http://www.ch-hangar.com ) will let you program an axis for using as gear lever.., quite simple (just maps the axis as button "G") Freddy
  7. Hi.. i recommend using the CH control manager v4.0 ( http://www.ch-hangar.com ) , and the CMFS utility by Bon Church ( http://www.stickworks.com ) Theese utilities make different joy setup with FS real easy. Set up correctly and you never have to enter the joystick assignements from inside FS2004 ever again... Freddy
  8. Is it possible in anyway to get my joy button transferred to another FS session (on another computer) when connected in Multiplayer, via FSUIPC offsets, throught WideFS ore similar ?. Just a hunch I got here...... had to ask, no matter how dumb my question is :):) Any ideas Pete ?
  9. Thx Pete! You can count on my posts... I always double and triple check my discoveries before posting anything :):) I will try the latest version tonight. thx alot!. [LATER, APPENDED FROM A PRIVATE MESSAGE:] In the latest beta the PTT works as it should :) :) Freddy
  10. Flying with SB3, I am constantly sending on voice, even when not pusnhing my PTT... have deleted the old Actionkeys, and Keysends in the INI files.. any idea ? Freddy
  11. Buy an extra monitor then :D 2 monitors to 1 PC, and 1 to the other.... Freddy
  12. hi! I thinkk you refer to WideView, not WideFS.. widefs is a small app that makes it possible to run a lot of apps on another computer in a local network ( connects to FS via wideFS), there is no d3d rendering in this.. ( Squawkbox, ActiveSKY, FSmeteo, etcetc. ) Freddy
