I'm assuming that the LOG files you are talking about would be under where it says "log=errors+"? If thats the case then thats all is there, nothing. If thats not the case then where would I see the log files.
thx for your patience

Here it is:
; PLEASE SEE WideFS documentation for parameter details
; =====================================================
[Config]
UseTCPIP=Yes
Port=8002
Window=43,44,886,589
Visible=Yes
ServerName=AMDComputer
; -----------------------------------------------
[user]
Log=Errors+
; ===============================================
This is my ini file in wide client on the client pc. I am trying to use TCP/IP for the connection. Win 98 on Client pc and XP pro on server. I do not have IPX installed. Server computer name is AMDComputer.
My wide server looks like this:
[Config]

Port=8002
; ---------------------------------
[user]
Log=Errors+

Hello
Can't connect to server
I'm using XP on Server, 98 on clients.
using TCP/IP through a router and have confirmed connection through wizard
I'm using FS2K4
I have both registered versions of FSUIPC and WIDEFS and trying to use PM PFD
My wide client looks like this:
; PLEASE SEE WideFS documentation for parameter details
; =====================================================
[Config]
Port=8002
Window=43,44,886,589
Visible=Yes
ServerName=FSComputer
; -----------------------------------------------
[user]
Log=Errors+
; ===============================================
My log looks like this:
********* WideClient.DLL Log [version 6.101] Class=FS98MAIN *********
Date (dmy): 24/10/03, Time 23:51:38.030: Client name is P733
25 Attempting to connect now

7185 Failed to start Client!
7236 Reception maximum achieved: 0 frames/sec, 0 bytes/sec
7236 Max receive buffer = 0, Max send depth = 0
7236 ********* Log file closed (Buffers: MaxUsed 0, Alloc 0 Freed 0 Refused 0) *********
