  1. Regarding the two computers with same names, there is another computer on the network (not FS related) that had the same name. But alas, it all works now.
  2. Pete, I apparently had two computers with the same name (they were both Win7, so maybe it allows it) and had to remove my OpenDNS section from my router, then physically unplug it. Between that and changing the computer names, the software works great. Thanks.
  3. Hello, I just purchased FSUIPC4 and WideFS today for FSX and WideClient will not stay connected. It briefly connects (for approx. 1 second) and then says waiting for connection. I have FSUIPC4 registered with they key for WideFS as well on a Windows 7 Home Premium machine and WideClient on a Windows XP Pro SP3 machine. Both firewalls are turned off, and I made sure that Homegroup wasn't enabled on the Win7 machine. I double checked that both computers belong to the same Workgroup. The following is my WideClient.ini: ; PLEASE SEE WideFS documentation for parameter details ; ===================================================== [Config] Port=8002 Window=-4,-4,1032,746 Visible=Yes ButtonScanInterval=20 ClassInstance=0 NetworkTiming=5,1 MailslotTiming=2000,1000 PollInterval=2000 Port2=9002 ResponseTime=18 ApplicationDelay=0 TCPcoalesce=No WaitForNewData=500 MaxSendQ=100 OnMaxSendQ=Log NewSendScanTime=50 Priority=3,1,2 ; ----------------------------------------------- [User] Log=Errors+ ; =============================================== [Sounds] Path=C:\Documents and Settings\Justin\Desktop\WideFS\Sound\ Device1=Primary Sound Driver Device2=SoundMAX Digital Audio WideClient.log: ********* WideClient Log [version 6.86] Class=FS98MAIN ********* Date (dmy): 14/04/11, Time 16:14:13.125: Client name is TABLET 172 LUA: "C:\Documents and Settings\Justin\Desktop\WideFS\Initial.LUA": not found 219 Attempting to connect now 765 Server = JUSTIN-PC 781 Trying TCP/IP host "JUSTIN-PC" port 8002 ... 781 ... 4. Hi Pete,

I was reading about your software, particularly WideFS and was wondering if there was a way to get a demo key to see if I could get it to work with my network before spending the $50 or so. I just want to check if it will work with some gauge software and have been reading about WideFS and not being able to connect.

    Thanks.
