Yes. Change the joystick + button numbers to the one you want, and the controls it sends to the ones you want, maybe keystrokes? You'd place it into the FS Modules path and get it running by using an [Auto] section in the FSUIPC4.INI file, like

    [Auto]
    1=Lua TripleUse

If you use Profiles and only want it running for certain aircraft, just make the section

    [Auto.<profile name>]

You should really read up about plug-ins in the Lua document included. You'll find plug-ins useful for many things.

Thanks. Will try and will come to you with success and no success.

I don't think the view of the graphic position of a throttle lever would be that good in any case.

Just move your real throttle to engage the mode and look in the FSUIPC CALIBRATION tab to get the OUT value.

Thanks Pete. Ok I got the values for the different positions, CLIMB, FLEX and TOGA. Now how I program a button to make it push and go to those position?

    Thanks

So, can you assign controls to the button? Are their such assignable controls supported by the aircraft, or do you need to set throttle levels to do that? If the latter you can set a throttle level by using AXIS THROTTLE SET with an appropriate parameter (-16384 is zero, +16383 is 100%).

A - If I set the throttle level with the appropriate parameter, how do I know the exact value, since I have in the FSUIPC window in modal format, I cannot see the the mark in the throttle where the TOGA is. Did I explain myself?

If you want to do it through sequential button presses you'd use the Flag setting control as well, and the flag testing. Two button flags would do the job for 3 different actions.

This sort of multiple assignment to one button has to be done by editing the FSUIPC4.INI file, and is described in the Advanced User manual.

  4. Hello,

First I do not know where to publish the question, here or send it to VRInsight support.

I have FS9 and want to use the MCP Combo panel II with Qwality wings BAe AVRO RJ100. To make this work I know I have to user the combination of VSPE and FSUIPC to create macros for the different buttons, swicthes, rotary, etc. I have setup the VSPE with the pair COM2 and COM4. I have modify the FSUIPC and include the section:

    [VRInsight]

    1=COM3, COM4

The MCP Combo is running in COM3 port.

I started first the VSPE, then the FS9 and when I have the AVRO loaded I then run the VRSim, but it does not change the port in VRSim, it always show the COM3, and I guess it should show COM4.

I followed the doc FSUIPC_VRInsight_mod.pdf created by Günter Steiner “guenseli”.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

    Kiko

  5. No. All of the radio facilities are passed through. FSUIPC doesn't need to do anything at all with them. There is no difference for COM or NAV or ADF or DME or TRN. If the COM button is not working I can only think it is a hardware fault.

You can try logging for VRI in FSUIPC (I think this is documented in the PDF about setting it up?)), or perhaps VRInsight website has a program to test with.

For more help i suggest you visit the VRI support forum. I am leaving very soon now for a holiday.

    Regards

    Pete

Thanks Pete. I do not think it is hardware related since if I do not use VSPE, the COM works fine, but I need the VPSE to use macros. I already talked to Andy at VR support and he suggested to talk with you.

  6. Hi Pete,

I have configured the QualityWings Ultimate BAe 146 and Flight1 ATR72-500 in FS9 to make it work with MCP Combo II through FSUIPC macros. I have set almost all the functions, EFIS, Autopilot and Radios. However in the radios module I did not have to use macro since it works without touching anything except the COM. If I press the COM button it does nothing, not even change the value(i.e. from ADF to COM) in the display. If I press other button like NAV, it change the display to NAV and can toggle the frequency, etc.

I guess it was due to the add-on but I test the same with the default FS9 aircraft and the behavior is the same. I am using VSPE in order to use the MCP Combo II as a joy to make it work through macros. I do not know if VSPE void the use of the COM button.

I am using the latest FSUIPC version 3.999z8 on FS9 and W7 64bits.

    What do you think?

    Thanks

    Kiko

  7. Don't the regular controls work? Have you checked their documentation for alternatives?

Does the panel use L:Vars? If so you can try those. Otherwise, does it support keystrokes for its functions?

If the makers of the aircraft simply do not want you to use any hardware with their aircraft then they don't need to supply any way of doing it for you. But perhaps you should first ask in their support forum?

    Regards

    Pete

What regular controls do you mean?. The documetnation of the add-on does not include this kinf of information.

I have checked in the forum and I did not find anything, but I might be wrong. How do I find out if the panel use L:Vars?

    Regards

    Kiko
