  1. No, computer time. Also has a stop watch function and several modes.
  2. Pete, in order for the clock to work on my yoke, the driver is necessary as far as I know. Thanks.
  3. As I said previously, new day, new set of circumstance. Yesterday evening was my shot in the barrel, received notification of W10 April Update. First thought was oh great! Also noticed that Nvidia came out quickly with their update to the latest update, so I downloaded and installed it along with beginning my adventure with the W10 update. All went well with the usual exception, shared folders between networked computers and my Saitek yoke driver not installed (what's up with that anyway?) It was late enough after all that so this AM I fired up P3Dv4 and took it for a ride. Guess what! Not a single pause or stutter. Couldn't tell when the saves were made at 5 minute intervals nor any other stutters. Guess it was magic. Thanks for all your assistance and time. Till next updates, later.
  4. Well starting P3D first is a certain problem. The pauses are not quite as bad as they were, but still a nuisance when on approach. Still feel something is not right since several updates. Looks like the new Nvidia driver has problems, W10 and it's problems, who knows, perhaps the combination of all. Thanks for the help, I'll keep plugging.
  5. I installed the FSX-SP2-XPACK and will check tomorrow on the results. Thanks for hanging in there with me.
  6. Ware those hats only on festive occasions with large number of libations! On a four hour flight now and averaging 4 second saves at 300 and 600 seconds apart. Still get simconnect hits occasionally. I tried to find the simconnect files in P3Dv4. Apparently, and don't ask me how, simconnect is not installed in my P3D. Will attempt to install after this flight.
  7. LOL! No, USA. in Virginia. We are going through one of five usual summers. Oh and thats F not C! That would about 31 C. A new day, a new circumstance. I tried what you suggested and the results were surprising. Starting each addon utility did not cause more than normal save times. So I decided to try something else. Normally I start the addons first, then P3D, this next test I loaded P3D first and then the addons all together. Darned if the save time didn't stay at normal time. Now I am really confused. I believe I did update simconnect earlier this year, don't remember when. Just as I write this, I get another long simconnect disconnect and sim is paused saving. Thought I had a work around.
  8. Sorry, had to tend to mowing and landscaping chores. I'll try your suggestions tomorrow, Pete. I'm beat and temps were in the very high 80's. Thanks.
  9. Average save time with default Maule and using ";" is 10 sec. Same average time with FSUIPC is 2' 44" and I get Windows notifications "connection to FSUIPC got lost." The following applications are also running with both tests: AS4 with ASCA kacars landing rate monitor JoinFS SPADNext smartcars Little NAVCONNECT for remote Little NAVMAP MOBIFLIGHT CONNECTOR Can't wait for that toupe shot!
  10. As stated, I do not have any PMDG aircraft and the most complicated may be Carenado or Alabeo. I'm going to try what you suggest, but the toupe will be on you if it fails to replicate the problem!
  11. Boy I have been pulling what is left of my hair out with this problem. Never expected it to be FSUIPC after all these years of using it. FSUIPC v5.124 P3Dv4 All aircraft no PMDG I got long pauses every 5 minutes after the latest W10-64 updates which coincided with my FSUIPC update to 5.124. Had autosave set for 5 minutes. Now have it turned off and no pauses or stutters. Hate to say it, but looks like FSUIPC is the culprit.
  12. So has Fran installed those drivers yet and if not why not? It won't hurt and it certainly could have helped days ago. I am glad that you found that change though Pete. It may effect something else down the road, Now if I could just figure out why my multi-panel display keeps not displaying. Happens over night. Thought at first it was the asleep mode of windows, changed it to no sleep, but again today no display.
  13. Then I must have been the last of the dinosaurs, but probably not. I know people still using XP. In any case, I have an ASUS Maximus V Formula and i7-3770K with 8GB of memory and every other start of SPAD I have no display in my multi-panel. A reboot sometimes cures it and a reload of USB drivers is in the making. Just some system combo's have unique problems and he/she is one of them. Interesting problem though, even if it is frustrating for the user.
  14. I have a feeling it is either a 64 bit issue, driver issue r the new FSUIPC. My 32 bit install worked flawlessly. Now with 64 bit and new FSUIPC I have now and then problems and one that is staying with me for the moment, multi-panel display will not display while all buttons and switches work fine. Sometimes after reboot the display works so I am looking more towards mainboard usb issues than other sw.
  15. Drivers. Please appease me and load the Saitek Drivers for your Yoke and TPM. Do you have rudder pedals too? If so load that driver too. Be sure to use the ones for your OS (32 or 64). Pete, I know my axis devices did not work correctly until I installed the drivers. I have Pro Yoke with throttle quadrant and pedals with Saitek 64 bit drivers installed. For panels I use SPAD.
  16. Does he have both versions installed? Seems he still has all the 4,9 0 as well as 4.91.
  17. He is using TPM. That must be separate from the one that comes with the yoke and is a separate USB module. I would think he requires a driver for that as well. My problem is with the multi-panel and the display not displaying. Buttons and switches work fine. SPAD in use.
  18. Do not wish to hijack link, but I have Saitek Pro yoke, pedals, Radio, switch and multi panels with FSUIPC 4.91 and SPAD. controllers did not work at first until I loaded Saitek drivers for them. Sometimes Multi-panel display does not work unless I reboot system. May be part of his problem, drivers.
  19. FSUIPC may not care, but in order to buy I need an account with a viable email address to receive the key. POC means Point-of-Contact. I just thought perhaps you had a email address for whoever runs the shop so I don't have to fill out another ticket for them not to respond to. Do you need a key to use FSUIPC4? There is nothing there but the general screen and logging. Thanks anyway.
  20. Mr. Dawson, Probably only I could have done this. I lost my account info to SimMarket that I received when I purchased FSUIPC 3. So, I created an account using my new email address. Then I found my old information and because it had my other purchase info there, I deleted my new account with my new email and tried to change my old email account in the the old one so that I could receive email updates and such. When I try to change it, it says the email already exists and won't let me change it. Why do I post here? First, because I want to purchase FSUIPC 4 with the correct email address and second I wrote to the POC for that by filling out a form that really wasn't pertinent, because there was no form pertinent and they say they do not reply to non-pertinent requests. Third even if they do try to contact me, they have an email address I no longer have. Seems I am in a Catch 22. Any help appreciated.
  21. Your answer is half right at least. I meant to post earlier, but got busy. When I opened the .ini file I noticed that the Pedals and yoke had changed ID's one was 0, the other 1 which reversed from the original. I had not been in FS9 since FSX was loaded. I have to assume that FSX saw ports differently as I remember that in setup when I chose yoke setting were actually pedal.
  22. I had the registered version of 3.999s up and working until today. It appears that the .ini file is not being read. I started FS9 and went to "fly now", none of the preset buttons nor axis work now. I deleted the ini and copied a backup, restarted FS9 and the same thing. I reload buttons and none are programmed, axis mapping is all screwed up. I downloaded FSX Demo and programmed the yoke and pedals there (not using FSUIPC with it that I know of). That is the only thing different. Using Windows 7, FS9 and FSX demo, SPAD for my Saitek switch panel, Saitek Pro Yoke, Pedals and TPM quadrant. I searched but did not find my problem as described.
  23. A good rule of thumb about updating anything: If you don't have the problem that the update is supposed to fix, you will have a problem if you update. Don't do it unless you do have the problem. IAW, If it ain't broke, don't mess with it. Only took me 38 years of managing 3000 computer systems all over the world. What board are you using? Curious. Because I wasn't sure a new board was going to fix my problem, I bought a mid-level board EVGA NVIDIA GE Force GTX 550Ti with 2GB of DDR5 RAM. getting better than 60FPS is 2004 with everything on and set to as high as you can go. Full complement of addon scenery, planes and textures. Although in Windows Performance I get a 5.9 on this card and had a 7.3 with the HD4850.
  24. It appeared you got defensive. Perhaps I can assist you with your problem. God knows I have seen enough with my own issues. Sounds like my ATI problem, no one else has the problem or so say the helpless desk.
