  1. Dear Mr. Dowson, I have a follow up question. I decided to get FSUIPC and went to Simmarket to purchase it, and found that v4 there said that it was a program that was available since 2006, so over 8 years old! But on the schiratti.com website where the latest information is posted, it says that the newest version is 4.929, available since only 12 January this year. I wanted the latest version so I clicked on the link and found that I could download it for free, which I did. I know that you have to pay to get a registration key for the product, but when I went to Simmarket I couldn't find a link that would enable me to do that. I can get one by purchasing the older version of FSUIPC4, but then I would have two versions of the same product, the newer of which I wouldn't be able to register, and I want to use the newest version in FSC 9. Could you help me figure this out? Thanks for your time as always. Wayne
  2. Dear Mr. Dowson, I knew about FSUIPC as I have been considering it for my various FSX addons to create programs for my various aircraft to save their flight characteristics so that I don't have to keep reconfiguring FSX settings each time I change aircraft. But I have gotten busy with this other problem and never got around to ordering it. I found your forums through a search, and decided to try and contact you. If I understand you correctly, unregistered installs will work anyway? This would cover the FSC9 included version. If I want the latest version and purchase that (which I can then register), how do I get this installed the FSC9? Or is this addressed in the manual for the program? Thanks for your time and consideration. Wayne
  3. Dear Mr. Dowson, I am hoping you can answer a question for me regarding FSUIPC as it relates to FlightSimCommander 9. I have just recently purchased and installed the latter, and I noticed during the last part of the process that I was being presented with several install boxes for FSUIPC before I could click Finish. I went ahead and clicked my way through the various steps and was given a message that said the process had completed and then a box for a 12 digit registration number appeared. Nowhere in the process did I receive such a number, or was I given instructions on where to find this piece of information. So I was forced to complete the installation with FSUIPC un-Registered. I am having a few problems with FSC 9 and I don't know if this has a bearing on anything or not. I am going to try uninstalling FSC 9 and reinstalling it to try and fix these problems, but in doing so I am going to see the FSUIPC installation boxes again. I need to know before I start this how I can obtain the registration key I am going to need. I notice upon reading about FSUIPC that this is given to you when you purchase the product, but I am evidently getting this as part of the FSC 9 purchase, so I have no separate transaction from which to obtain this information. I could purchase FSUIPC from you which would give me a number, but when installing FSUIPC from FSC 9 I don't know if the number would be valid, and I think that the version in FSC 9 is 3, whereas I believe you are offering 4 on your website. So now I am confused. Any help you can give me on sorting this out would be much appreciated. By the way, does FSC 9 require FSUIPC to work? Thanks for your time and consideration. Cheers, NavyAce Wayne
  4. Dear Pete, Okay, here goes. I have a large library of commercial and freeware aircraft add ons to FSX. These are all 1930s-1940s warbird types, including single-engined fighters, and both twin and four-engined bombers, as well as my old twin-engined Embraer Regional Jet. I have a total of four Saitek Throttle Quadrants and am currently using one unit with the three axis (ailerons/elevators/rudder) currently assigned for single-engined operation. I know that these units may be linked together by changing out the colored control knobs and reassigning the various axis to fly two or four-engined aircraft. What I want to know is once I switch my original unit to a multi-engined configuration with other units and reassign all of the axis for the particular airplane I want, when I switch back to a single-engined plane will the simulation recognise this and automatically pick up the original three axis assignments? Or do I need to go back and manually reset them? And Then do I need to keep doing this each time I switch from a single to a multi-engined aircraft? Basically I am asking if there is a way to save the Throttle Quadrant axis settings for each aircraft I select soi I don't have to keep redoing them each time I fly. I don't know if this can be done in the Settings/Control function of FSX for multiple aircraft. If not, is this something I could do with FSUIPC? I would similarly like to save control settings (sensitivity/null points) for all of my warbirds, since these would vary from a single-engined fighter like a P-51 to a four-engined bomber like a B-17, and again I don't know if once set manually the simulation would recognise the settings from a selected aircraft and make an automatic adjustment. Thanks for your time and expertise. Wayne Hinton
  5. Dear Pete, I am a recently retired American Eagle Embraer Regional Jet captain (July 2011), who is now relegated to doing most of my flying on my desktop PC, although I have gotten some SNJ time with my credit union money, but at $800 US per hour I can't afford much! I am recreating my real life flying and my passion for warbird flying as much and as accurately as possible in the VC world and I have a question regarding FSUIPC as to whether or not it would enhance my experience. I have a specific question that I would like to ask. I have tried a few other people but no one seems to be able to give me a definitive answer. Before asking here I was wondering if we might exchange emails rather than posting here. If that is okay let me know and we can exchange addresses. If that is not convenient for you we can continue here. I only ask as I am new at posting and email is a more comfortable fit for me. The question requires a somewhat lengthy introduction and I am not sure whether there is a character limit in the posts. I will check back here later and tomorrow also for your reply. By the way I have spent quite a bit of time in the UK. London is my all time favorite city. I also go to Duxford every year for the Flying Legends show, and have had the great good fortune to get to know Eric Brown while in couontry. I look forward to hearing from you and hope that you can clear up this issue for me. Cheers, Wayne Hinton
