I renamed the efx bgl, both efx bgls, but still had the CTD show up. I exchanged my terrain.cfg file, and all was well. I'm going to look through the difference in the two terrain.cfg files I have and see what the differences are. It must have something to do with the add-ons I have in my fs, since this isn't happening to anyone else. :(

I just added the .bak at the end of the bgl file. I'll go back tonight if I have time and make the changes then. I'll keep you posted though. I appreciate you helping me with this! :)

Nice shots Maddy! I definitely enjoyed them. :D

Well, last night I renamed the efx2 bgl file and moved the landclass bgl to the Packwood/scenery folder, but still got the CTD during the day. I only had time to try it twice though, but got the CTD both times. Would the packwood landclass file conflict with FSG's landclass file?
-
For ten bucks, it seems like a steal. That VC looks nice too.
-
I haven't had a chance to try it yet. I'm really itchin' to see how it looks once I get the changes made though. From the screenshots I saw, you've really beefed that area up. :)

I didn't know there was an actual fs2002/scenery folder. I know there was a scenedb folder, and that's basically the fs9/scenery folder, so that's why I asked. I'm well aware that the scenery was made for fs2002.
-
Yes, I'm runnin' fs9. I won't be able to do anything on the PC until this next week though.

I can't log into these forums @ home, so I was going off of memory as far as the author. In the readme, it stated that the landclass bgl file should be in the fs2002 scenery folder. That seems a little vague to me. I'll move the landclass file into the appropriate folder and see if that changes anything. I'll disable the EFX2 bgl also.

Is anyone else having problems with Packwood? I was having CTD's around Packwood during the daytime hours, so I d/led the 'crashto' zip and the crashes are gone. The area now looks default fs2002 now, but at least I don't have the CTD's. I can't remember if this is the scenery by Joe Watson or Bill Dick. I installed the packwood landclass bgl into the add-on scenery/texture folder. The instructions were for fs2002.

Started : KEWL (Emma Field)
Destination : 4W8 (Elma)
Distance flown : 42nm
Altitude : FL045
Aircraft : (DF) Cessna Cardinal 177
Fuel used for flight : 42 lbs.
Time to complete : 30 minutes right on the nose
I actually got onto the Emma server, but no one was on there. 8) I
took off from Emma using rnwy 36. Headed straight for Elma at 4,500 MSL. I
didn't spill my drink till touchdown, but more on that later. I reached TPA
as soon as I crossed over the rnwy to see which runway to use. I entered the TP on the downwind leg, came in on rnwy 25. I came in at about
80 kts., so I was a little fast on touchdown, and that's when I spilt my
Gatorade all over my lap. That runway reminds me of the one nearest my
house...narrow!

I've had the ole 'Not all players could connect to the session' error before. It happens about half the time when trying to connect to the EFC server. Me and a friend of mine have this happen when trying to fly together using any server. He ends up having to use fs2002 in order for both of us to be able to fly together. Naturally this means we use FSHost sesssions. I'll try some of your suggestions and see what kind of results we get. Thanks for this thread BTW.

The site's up. I just came from there. Congrats Pittnuma on the Tigermeet.

The server should be back up later on today. Jeff was busy this weekend, so he hasn't been around to reset it. Everything should be back to normal by tonight though.
-
Congrats Simon! I missed out on a historic flight I see. :)

The language might be Finnish, but the pictures I can understand. Looks like a definite keeper!

Cool!! Looks close to me too.

Hey guys! I haven't flown in awhile, but I was wondering if these 'bumps' are still happening. Are people still being kicked out randomly?

The 2004 textures are worth it. The patch works ok with the 2002 textures in fs9, but like Ruud said, the new textures really have that added 3D effect to them.
-
I bought the patch, but the FScene2004 textures are quite a lot better than bringing the 2002 textures to fs9 with the patch. You won't regret it. I just bought the Fall textures a couple of days ago, and am completely happy with what Ruud has done. Great job!

I've learned that there are no gaurantees with release dates with any company. Some companies wait till their products are 'perfect', in which they aren't updating several times after the initial release. Others put their products out, and have several updates within a two weak span of the initial release. It just gives me more time to enjoy the add-ons that are updated for fs9.
-
Thanks! I'll have to try that one out. :)
-
We've got your back there Ruud.  Keep up the great work. :D

Cool! I wonder if it'll work for payin' my tab when I leave the hanger? Great job there!

I'll try that next and see what that gets me.
