  1. Hello Pete, Please can you tell me how I delete a 'Control sent when key pressed' command after making a Macro? For example, I call a Macro 'Auto off' then later I wish to delete it from the drop down menu in the FSUICP options settings, how do I delete it from the drop down menu? Regards and thank you for your immense contribution to the FS community. Paul
  2. Hello Pete, Merry Christmas to you and thank you for your hard work and immense contribution to our hobby. I am pretty thick when it comes to computers so forgive me if I sound it also. I am trying to assign keys to the FD (flight direction switch) and AT (auto throttle switch) in the PMDG 747. I have tried to use FSUICP's assignmet keys function but it doesn't seem to have any effect in the PMDG 747 when i assign a key to the functions mentioned above. I say i thick with PCs but I didn't realise I was thick! Can you think what i might be doing wrong? Thanks Pete
  3. Hi Pete, I realise that you are kept extremely busy anbd therefore please only reply to this if you are bored! Joking aside, if possible could you please tell me what an offset is? I see it written all the time and I am sure I might be missing out on some improvements or tweaks I could make to my FS experience, maybe not? If you don't ask you don't know! Thanks Pete PS: if you know of a somewhere where I can read about offsets in lay terms I would appreciate you pointing me in the direction. Regards Merry Christmas & thank you for all your work during the year to help make our hobby enjoyable. Paul
  4. Hi Pete, Just some additional information to the post above Pate. I have searched rigorously on all drives for the file simconnect.dll but my search, in all folders and files, suggests there is no such file on my computer anywhere. Please advise. regards Paul

  6. Please excuse me if this is posted in the wrong forum. I would like to enlist your help Pete with the following error message I recieve. It concerns a CTD and the following information was obtained from an even log. I have no idea what it means but I am hoping you might be able to point me in a direction where I can start to try and resolve it, I am not sure if it is related to your module. I am a registered user of it. I would really appreciate any suggestions you have about it. This is the error: " The description for ID (1000) in source (Microsoft Flight 9.0 cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message or dll files to display message from remote computer. You may be able to use /AUXSOURCE=flag to retrieve this description. The following is part of event fs9.exe 9.0.0.30612 weather.dll 9.1.0.40901.00028166 Paul
  7. Once again Pete thanks fr your feedback. I have G-Force FX5900 video card which takes a hammering. I'll cank the fans in my case up a little a see how I go. Memory leaks....ummmmmmm ? I have 2 GB of memory would that be an issue? Thanks Paul
  8. Hi Pete, I was wandering if you could shed some light on what the following error message means. You may recall my problem...my FS crashes unpredictable and I mentioned to you that I didn't normally get an error message? I also mentioned to you that I removed some BGL files you mentioned above which seems to have helped. However, tonight, after a 7hr real time flight and would you believe 3 minutes from my T.O.D I get this: C:\docume~1\paulso~1locals~1\temp\458e_appcompat.txt My FS is on my S: drive but this is the message I got. Any comments which could alleiviate my frustration will be appreciated. regards Paul
  9. Hi pete, Apologies for troubling you. I have always noticed, no matter what aircraft I fly, the tail lights always go on when the panel lights are on, of course above 10,000ft in the real world this is not the case. My question: Is it possible in some way to use your module to connect the lights to the relevant switches (already in the overhead panel) so that the lights are independant of each other, so that when you fly above 10,000ft with the panel ligths on you can turn the tail lights off? Hope that ramble makes sense to you ! Thank you Paul
  10. Hi Pete, You are jmost welcome. Kind regards and thank you for what you bring to the community. Paul
  11. Try setting Summer or Winter as the season in FS, see if it helps or not. If it was one of those when you crashed, try the opposite: i.e. Spring or Fall. But I think the CTD problem was related to transitional trextures so these are more likely. One CTD I came across was fixed by removing some apparently bad AFCAD files. These were Project AI related files I think The filenames were: PAI_AF2_?????_?????.BGL and AF2_????_????_???.BGL Hi Pete , Just some feedback for you regarding my problem. I deleted all the files you mentioned above and it seems to have resolved the problem so far, looking good! Thanks for your time and help. Regards Paul
  12. Hi Pete, Thank you for your reply. I have a strong suspicion it is something to do with a combination of textures and seasonal weather in certain places as you mentioned. Gee...I have a a hard drive of 250 GB alone for scenery and textures where do I begin! I will keep you posted if in the meantime you come acroos that bug fix you mentioned, I would love to get a copy of it. Regards Paul
  13. Hello Peter, I have your latest beta version of FSUICP which is included in the Activesky folder of their Beta 140 update. My problem is trying to isolate what is causing my FS2004 to crash recently. The frustrating part about the whole thing is that I can fly a long way without it happening and then suddenly doom and there isn't a trace of FS2004 on my screen, nothing, no error message nothing. I am begining to suspect that it has something to do with the combination of my PMDG 737s and Activesky. What I would like to know is this...is there a way of locating an error message somewhere that tells me it is that keeps causing FS2004 to crash without having to go through hours and hours and hours of scenarios and flights with different planes etc etc..? Regards Paul
