  1. Pete, On a very short flight from LIMZ to LIMF of about 12 minutes the QNH was 1009Mb for both airports. The value having been input to the sim by FSRealWX.exe. I was using PF3 which picks up stuff via FSUIPC. AT the origin LIMZ PF3 quoted QNH1009 correctly and again when being handed over to approach. But when I was cleared to land the Tower quoted QNH1013. It would appear from the log that FSUIPC knew that the pressure at LIMF was 1009 but for some obscure reason it changed it slowly back to 1013. I know for sure that the pressure was correct at the destination because I teleported there before loading the ATC software to double check my instruments. Thereafter upon landing my standby altimeter correctly showed the airport elevation and the precision set to QFE correctly showed zero. So what's going on? FSUIPC.log
  2. I am programming an update. But it's held up at the moment as it also involves a rebuild. Plus I want to finish my a/c panel first. So it'll be a few weeks yet. I'll try again then when everything is settled. Thanks for your quick responses. vololiberista
  3. I have had a look at Windows error logs and whilst there are some ie. perflib errors they don;t equate to the times yesterday and today that I have tried to run the latest FSUIPC. Is it because I'm not using SP3 perhaps? vololiberista
  4. Pete, I do have it it's called MSVCRT.DLL and not MSCVRT.DLL!! So then I have all the dll's required. What next!!!! vololiberista
  5. Hi Pete, From your list the only one missing is MSCVRT.DLL. But you say that was required in previous releases of FSUIPC. Strange why they worked then if it is needed I'm running XP so it should be there apparently. I've never had an MSCVRT.DLL error message. Where do I find the error logs in case there's something there? Also it seems to be necessary for running C+ etc. All my C+ gauges work fine!!!! vololiberista
  6. Hi Pete, I downloaded 3.999y5 from here as you sugessted and got the very same message. It reads:"FS was unable to load some a/c or software. You can continue using FS but this a/c or software will be disabled. File FSUIPC.dll" So there's definately something that FS9 doesn't like about FSUIPC.dll. Or is it the other way round? What does this vers of FSUIPC require from FS9 that previous versions did not? vololiberista
  7. I Just re-ran the instlalation and got the same error message. 8. Hi Pete, The message says "Fs9 was unable to load or read a file but can continue without it" It then gives the name of the miscreant file as fsuipc.dll This message came up within half a second of the splash screen appearing. There certainly was an install.log which was all ok. I'll have to rerun the installation to see if an FSUIPC.log was created as I can't recall. In the user guide it mentions to check the digital signature. Which I did and all was ok. The version I tried to install was 3.999w just last night! I have seen another post similar to this over on Avsim. but nothing there is relevant. I don't use any joystick software. There is a very old version of simconnect but it's not used by anything. My fs9 is and always has been on a different partion ie. F: I have not installed, downloaded any extra goodies. The FS9 installation itself is sound. So In my mind it would appear that there was a problem somehow in the installation. In the past All I had to do was copy FSUIPC.dll from the download package into the FS9 modules directory. Now it is in the form of a downloader. It "appeared" to download everything correctly. So I'm wondering if the FSUIPC.dll is or was somehow corrupt. The sequence of events was: Using FS9 with PFE and FSMetar (both needing FSUIPC). Everything worked normally. FS9 closed. New version of FSUIPC installed. FS9 opened immediately with the error message. vololiberista
  9. Last night I thought to "update" my registered version of FSUIPC 3.999. Everything went smoothly including acceptance of the digital signature. However, FS9 would not load it giving the message in the title. The previous version I had installedwas 3.911. Fortunately I also had an old backup disc and was able to restore FSUIPC to an "accepted by fs9" version. However that is quite old being v3.989. Can you tell me why FS9 wouldn't load the latest version. And/or how I can upgrade to the latest version that does work! Thanks, vololiberista
