  1. 1. firewall of ESET Smart Security is ON, PC as client, connection is OK 2. firewall of ESET Smart Security is ON, PC as server, NO connection 3. firewall of ESET Smart Security is OFF, PC as server, connection is OK So I assume the problem is around ESS's firewall (since if I turn it off, connection is ok) Interactive Mode (of the ESS's firewall) is when an application wants to communicate on the network, ESS open a panel where I can enable/disable its comm and create a rule for it. But even in this mode I don't even got the panel when I try to establish a connection. I hope someone will help me to set up the firewall of the ESS. Robert P.S. I have used free version of FSUIPC and I was happy but since I have registered it I can see what an excellent piece of software it is! Thanks for it!
  2. Thank you for your reply! I have just figured out what causes the problem. On the PC which with I have the problem, ESET Smart Security 5 is installed and for some reason it blocks WideServer's communication (but only if it is the server) If I turn off its firewall I have a connection in a second. I have tried to enable WideServer's communication (e.g. Interactive mode) but no luck till now. Robert
  3. Good day Jim, Try "Autothrottle TOGA" in FSX. :) Robert
  4. Good day Everybody, I am struggling to set up the connection between my computers. To be more accurate, I am not able to set it up as I want. I used the free version of FSUIPC without any problem on my PC (W7-64, FSX, FSUIPC 4.86, my VB.NET app) when I decided to move my app to my laptop (W7-64). After purchasing the key, (reading the manual ), registering both software copying client (from WideFS 6.989) to laptop I started to test it. But no luck ... After struggling more than a day (reading forums, changing settings, I even turned off my firewall) I restarted my old PC (XP, FSX) and an old laptop (XP). After installations everything worked fine at first. Then I had the idea to try my W7 laptop and it connected in a fragment of a second . After these successes I copied the client to my W7 PC and started it... ...and it connected immediately. I decided to change the setup and run the FSX on my W7 laptop and after restarting clients I had 3 connections :!:. But I want to use my W7 PC as server. Since FSX/FSUIPC is running ok on my W7 PC and it can act as a client, I really have no idea why I can't use it as server. The only difference (what I can see at this point) between the FSX setups that on my W7 PC the FSX is not installed to its default locations but on a different drive and I used it to try Simconnect (since FSUIPC is working ok, I assume that it is not relevant) Anyone has any idea? Please help me! Robert P.s.: Sorry for my English, I am not a native speaker
