  1. Pete, by changing SimConnects port to 8100 I was able to fix my problem. I found I had used the port 8002 for SimConnect which is the same as WideFS. Thanks for your help and enjoy your Trip. Ken
  2. Pete, enjoy the beautifull Pacific Northwest. It is trully one of the USA's greatest areas. Have fun. Ken
  3. Pete, no problem I could use a vacation also. I can live with out it so enjoy your time away. Ken
  4. Pete, I have not used WideFS with FSX for a long time. I usually go with the Simconnect program. Today I was having issues with my mapping program (FSEARTH for FSX) and decided to try using Quickmap with WideFS to flight follow. I get the Wideserver waiting for Clients at the top of the screen and I start WideFS (latest versions) on my Second PC. It never connects. I looked at the Wideclient log and this is what is says::: 11906 Trying TCP/IP host "DADS" port 8002 ... 11906Okay, IP Address = 192.168.27.101 11906 Connection made okay! 12203 Connection closed by server! 12203 Attempting to connect now 14906 Server = DADS 14906 Trying TCP/IP host "DADS" port 8002 ... 14906Okay, IP Address = 192.168.27.101 14906 Connection made okay! 15016 Connection closed by server! Any help would be appreciated. Ken
  5. Pete, yes I use WideFS and will do what you need to figure this out. Ken
  6. Pete, I tried 3.759 and it did the same. I tried 3.756 and it worked just fine. I have a zip file but it is 1.28megs and is too large to attach. The jpg's inside it show what is happening. One other note I did at takeoff with the error just to see if it would show up on the power up and sure enough I took off normally which leads me to believe it could be an instumentation display issue that is happening. I can email the file to you if you would like. Ken
  7. Hi Pete, had the same issue. I reverted back to 3.75 and it worked as designed. Hope you can shed some light on this. Ken
  8. Just a thought, I was having problems with AS6 connecting to FS with Wideserver and found in the options page of AS6 Build 523 under Graphics that I needed to check Enable WideFS Integration Mode and then all worked again. I never noticed this option before so maybe this is your problem. Ken
  9. Thanks for a terrific addition. I get better turns now and it was so easy to program. Thanks a bunch. Ken
  10. Ok, not sure what exactly I did but I went into MSCONFIG and started up a few services I had stopped and now everything is working as advertised. It definately was the network like you said. I used the new test versions and they are working great. Thanks for your suggestions Peter. They definetly led me to a solution even though I am not sure what caused it. I am tempted to disable services one at a time to see which one it was but now that its working I am going to leave well enough alone. Ken
  11. Thanks, I figured it would be the network but not sure what step to take first. I guess it is time to get some money back from my investment of my sons education. He is a network guru. Like you I have trouble with the network end of things. I will try the subnet part and see if it makes any difference. Ken
